    We have an LV-H132 in my workplace. We brought it into one of the old rooms that hasn't been used all year and smelled stuffy and dusty like an attic. Left it in there for a few days and it completely cleared it up. I had zero trouble in that room. Maybe it's not fast, but it definitely works.

    how are you going to complain about an $80 air purifier not having enough output for a room over 100 square feet? thats the perfect size for a bedroom, most users aren't trying to filter the air of a 1200-2000 sq ft house, you get a filter system for the central ac unit. jesus dude, just review the product, don't tell people what they don't want. the middle one is a perfect choice for smaller rooms as long as it does its job.

    LV-H132 is one of the best bargains when on sale, being a true hepa at that price point is ludicrous, you're obviously not a fan of it the output is fine and I'd love to know where you're getting your numbers from, what fan speed are you using etc. That model has no extra bells and whistles no smart tech, irrelevant lighting push buttons etc, the points of failure are greatly reduced. On sale you can buy 4 of them for the price of the lv-pur131. Your description of the models shown is also incorrect.

    I went for levoit lv-h133 after doing research and watching your videos. And I ideally wanted something to cover 400 sq ft
    I looked into winix 5500-2 and coway 300 but coway was going be CAD700 after tax, and this levoit was only CAD50 more expensive than winix.
    I ended up paying CAD300 after tax for Levoit. I think this just shows how much price differ in different countries. Hopefully I made the right choice 🙏- I think I did based on my current options.

    What are your views on the new cylinder like Philip's air purifiers like 2000i? That seems like it hits the 250 CFM advice and has a HEPA filter although, in the UK, the cheapest I found it is £270 so not cheap.

    I am looking for a purifier that does not have any ozone/ hydroxyl generator AND a washable pre-filter but it seems that it doesn't exist. Consumer Analysis I was planning on getting the H133 to cover multiple rooms, but it's sold out. Do you think it would be a good idea to get 2 of the smart app version of the 131 you feature in this video, instead, and spread them out? Or should I wait to get the 1 larger one?

    • @consumer-analysis
      @consumer-analysis  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Looking at current pricing a single LV-H133 (approx. 235 CFM) is much cheaper than two LV-PUR131s units (combined airflow of approx 270 CFM). As such, I would just wait for the LV-H133 to go back in stock and buy one of those.

      Mchan Slam as the h133 was sold out and delayed for months, I ended up getting both the h131s and then eventually, the h133. I got about a $35 discount on the h131s and have had it for about a month in my bedroom, but moved it into my kitchen yesterday and placed my h133 in my bedroom, when it finally arrived after 3 months of trying to get it. I also have a h132 I use in a very small, confined space. Still too soon to evaluate the h133, but I love the look and quietness of it (on Auto/Sleep), and really look forward to enjoying it!

    I'd really like to get a good air purifier, but I can only afford one at 100€/120USD. Is there anything you can recommend? I was thinking Xiaomi, but apparently they only have H11 filters (except one that's actually H13, but their lineup is really hard to understand and full of marketing lies.)
    Upside is I only need it for a 15m² room, so output isn't as important, just good quality filters (ideally a good carbon filter too). Thanks!

      In a very small sealed (i.e. closed doors, windows, etc.) room it might work - to some extent at least - but otherwise it will not be very effective. There is no such thing as a "clean air bubble" around an air purifier. It has to be sized for the whole room that it is in. • @consumer-analysis

      230 m3/h translates to about 135 CFM which is low compared to the units I generally recommend (like the Winix 5500-2 and Coway Mighty). However, for a small room (under 150 sq. ft.) the Core 300 should work just fine.

    I’m going to sound like a Levoit fanboy...but there’s a couple things that are incorrect. CFM he gives for the 133 is incorrect. Their website and the owners manual says 274. The prices may have changed so I can’t beat him up there but they are available for significantly cheaper than what he quotes. They also do have a washable pre filter. It’s not removable but you just take a hand vacuum and clean up what accumulates on the pre filter; that’s what the manual recommends. I love this guys vids usually and I’m not trying to be “that guy” but those 3 points are off

    Consumer Reports lists the LV-H132 as one of the worst air purifiers they tested. But neither CR nor you mention the Core
    300. It’s gotten good reviews and it supposedly has good output for a small purifier. It also allows choosing a
