Nick, Thank you for all the videos and all this wonderful information. You'll probably never even see this but here it goes any ways. I am brand new to this "hybrid athlete" training and I have to say, I absolutely love it. You have been such a great tool for me to get started and I use A LOT of your information in my own training. I was a fat old veteran at 341 lbs when I started in the summer. I couldn't even run because it hurt my knees and back too much. Now I'm down to 274 lbs and I run 5 miles almost every single day. I watch a lot of your TH-cam stuff just so I can get insight to how I can incorporate this hybrid training into my own training and new lifestyle. Right now I'm currently at a sub 10 mile and I am trying to improve that sub 10 by utilizing some zone 2 training. I also lift M-F. I lift in the mornings and run late afternoon. It's what works with my schedule the best. I'm also big on calories and my macros, I know your not a huge macro chaser but, since I am trying to lose fat and build muscle in a calorie deficit I find it very important that I am tracking my intake. I'm currently eating about 2600 cals a day and burning about 32/3700 a day, according to google fit. I try to eat 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% healthy fats. I ensure that I eat ZERO sugar and I do not waste calories on junk. Every time I'm in the gym I am always going one more. One more rep, on more set. And I will continue to go one more when it comes to my running. Next week I will add 1 more mile to all my runs and will keep doing so until I can hit that 10 mile mark. My goal is to run a half marathon next year at a sub 10 mile. Thank you for all the information and inspiration in your videos! Keep going one more and I will do the same. Thank you! -Will Vaughn

What do you mean hybrid athlete is becoming popular? I play basketball, run, cycle and lift weights just because I'm an athlete. Not because some dopey influencers made a hook for their marketing plan.
Nick, have you ever tried cardio and weight training together? Like for example do a heavy squat, bench or deadlift set, paired with a cardio machine like bike, row or ski erg, then followed with a fast pace 1km run and do repetitions or that cicruit? Running while lifting heavy weights really makes a big difference, and for me , really takes the term “hybrid athlete” to another level. Instead of staggering the running and lifting.

I wish that this were possible. 43 y.o. male here, 2 boys (ages 10 & 5), husband, working full-time and going to school full-time. My diet right now SUCKS. Energy drinks, chocolate, and fast-food. 6'2" 250lbs I know that it IS possible, BUT I'm constantly exhausted and barely have enough drive and energy for what I am doing now. And honestly, I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with genetics, but man, my body would NEVER look like that. Even with coaching, and proper diet. It helps to see results, and look like that.
I have been running for 30 years. Just turned 48. I was averaging 45 to 50 miles a week for many years. But knee pain has now brought down to my breaking point. I have been forced to take the past 2 to 3 weeks off from running. I now just do long walks of 6 or 7 sometimes 8 miles with lifting weights on days between long walks. What can I do to fix this knee issue? Now it is both knees and my left hamstring is super tight. It hurts to sit down for long periods of time. I can't take much more time off. I hate not running.

Awesome been following for years. Nicks the man! Side question What coffee machine is that?
I was wondering that myself!
Merry Christmas BPN. Thank you for the Inspiration.
Thanks for sharing the books Nick! I already get the show your work one...hopefully a great reading 💪💪
Morning reading routine before running and gym, The Word! It’s a must and reminds me why we are here.
Genius move showing how you and your wife share the morning responsibilities. Shows people how it can be done.
First video I’ve watched from you, and now I’m a new subscriber.
God bless and merry Christmas.
Buy a cellerciser.. before you laugh and shake your head like I did, give it a try. I'm an older athlete, so relate to what you're saying.
@@allpraisetothemosthigh7770 I had a mini trampoline back in the 80's growing up. If only I had held on to that thing.
Your knees are worn out because of all the running and you wanna run more?
@@jenshavla4673 I don't expect non runners to understand. You have likely never had a runners high. There are people in their 70's who still run. I am looking for advice from other runners perhaps more experienced runners on how to fix muscle imbalances that are likely the cause of my knee problem. Nonrunners need not opine.
I've been watching your videos and using some of the BPN products for a few years now. Great advice and motivation as I've worked through a couple Ironman's and a hand full of marathons. Love the content and welcome to the "Training Dad" family. It's a fun juggle, but you're killing man.
Man I have to say, I am so jealous of you.. what a dream life , keep working on content it’s give an inspiration 👍👍👍👍👍
This was absolutely beautiful. Watching you guys with Charlie was so sweet!
Great video Nick, dad of 3 all under 4 years old, setting myself up for my first full marathon and a spartan race next year. Gotta whip out the camera and hold myself accountable 💎
That’s amazing. Preparing for just my second with similar goals. 💪🏼
Awesome man! Looking forward to producing a life similar to you in the next couple years.

Loved that you both hit your morning goals whilst being badass parents and setting an example for your daughter 🙏

I didn't see where TRT is part of your routine.

Nick awesome rountine however, being a security expert never ever leave your garage door open when you leave for your run bad practice. Keep getting it!
Tried the eggs with oats mixed in and really enjoyed it. Didn’t have a carton of egg whites so I used just eggs, but found it very delicious and glad I tried it. Now to find some new hot sauces.
Live this kind of routine videos, day in the life videos, its great. Tks man
happy to hear my song - Morning Chill in this awesome video❤
Were you a college/pro athlete? The reason I ask is your one of the most athletic runner/lifter iv'e ever seen in "real life," Nic S. in Iowa!
Great vid as usual. Just made my first purchase of one of your products (G1M Sport) but my question is...what is that coffee maker???
Nespresso Vertu
I'm constantly inspired by your creativity.
beautiful, God-centered family. God bless
Do you have a extra watch or old one I can purchase?
What're your thoughts on having caffeine upon waking? Some research suggests it will mess with melatonin production following that evening when preparing for sleep.
An inspiration to the next generation, Merry Christmas Nick
Lost me when you mixed the oats with the eggs lol
