I can't wait to see how you paint your death company i just preordered the box and started a flesh tearers army after watching you paint up your space marines in such a fun less stressful way
Awesome video thank you! Watching the dreadnaught video next. If you do Lemartes and a Death Company marine that would be amazing as well. Love your content. Keep it up!
Lovely result. I've always struggled to paint this guy, mostly due to his old model being so small and my skills at the time barely half of what they are now. This new model I'm looking forward to actually completing and adding to my Angelic Host.
I wonder if using a combo of the new Astaroth and the conversion recipe from We Paint Minis, we could make a really dynamic and unique version of Seth?
@@MediocreHobbies Its always been a mask, there is even a lip to the mask at the hair line. Along with the tubes and wires fitting into it, and of course the blood drop adornment on the forehead.
@@MediocreHobbies Are you sure? What is the silver thing under/on his cheeks? It looks like the respirator thing you get on the side of the normal space marine helmets?
Work in sections. Always apply more than you think you’ll need. You can take the excess off with a brush after you’ve covered the section you’re painting. Don’t drag too little paint over a section or you’ll get staining. It’s not about applying thick costs, just not dragging paint across sections.
Sickass, interesting lore accompanying a sickass paintojob of a sickass model. Thank you
High praise indeed man thanks
Of all the tutorials on the new astorath model ..yours is def hands down the best version yet!
Love the paint job, looks amazing! Would love to see you paint the dreadnaught and Lemartes!
Dreadnought is built and ready for paint!
Thanks for a great video. The Sanguinor, Sanguinary Guard, Dreadnought and Lemartes would also be brilliant to watch being painted.
Best paint job I've seen so far
Wow thanks!
Looks awesome Andy! Great to hear some of the lore.
Oh man looks amazing ! May have to go with large parts of th paint scheme when get around to painting mine !
Awesome to hear that!

Would love your take on a lamenter!
Great stuff as always! What are the paint handles you use?
Thanks! They’re from frontier wargaming 😊

That's the plan! Thanks so much!
I’m sure Seth will be back in a future edition
🤞🤞🤞
Same goes for librarian dreadknought. They need a new model for the next codex release.
Would love to see a flesh tearers showcase? Or how you paint them! 😊 astorath looks awesome BTW!
Check out his leviathan videos, they’re awesome
Great video Andy, hopefully the tearers get their own supplement 🤞.
I hope so too!
I'm also going to paint his armor candy schemed . To me his armor should look like pealed skin . Hency the shiny look
Want to see it all. 🙂
Haha I don’t have time for videos for everything so need to prioritise 😄
Lovely result.

Blood Angels week? Lol great video as always Andy :)
That sounds like an awesome squad! Hopefully you do it on the channel.
He’s very neat
Thank you!
wow incredible work I will copy it! Just one question, can I spray it with black instead of gray and will it look the same?
No the contrast does not work over dark colours. You need the bright underneath.
@@MediocreHobbiesthanks mate!
My version will have the dozens pf long purity seals trailing off his waist ..just like the lord artwork
When you spray the light grey over the black. How deep of an angle do you go? Almost down to a horizontal spray? Thanks for the great video!
Check the description for a better explanation 😊 I have a priming video coming soon too which will show it in more detail too.
@@MediocreHobbies amazing! Looking forward to that video :)
Please make a video of those 5 Chaplins so I can make some. I’m a sucker for Chaplins and will always take any excuse to get more
Im recasting his jump pack and wings for the new sanguinary guard
Astorath’s novel is a really good read if you haven’t read it already!
Snazzy job, Lemartes would be very cool
I am a Dark Angel rather than Blood, but that is a cool model and scheme. Looking forward to the Dreadnought
Thanks man! Just swop in my dark Angel scheme for the same steps 😄
So that's what happened to Gary Oldman's Count Dracula armour!!
Haha watched that last night!
how would you paint blackwings with a darkbleu sheen as raven bird has
Exact same technique as here, pick a dark blue shade/contrast and test it over some black to see what you like best!
...man...paint the whole bloody box!!
Haha I will be, just don’t have time for videos for everything so have to see what people want most!
More Blood Angels please! Maybe the new captain, sang guard, or Death Company Brutalis?
Brutalis is up now!
Any death company videos in the works?
just bought the set, would the rest be mainly black? i have to learn all this
I love how you paint this guy, is it the same way you paint regular blood angel or is it different?
Wow! So nice, did you wash the entire model with the berserker red? Even the bone and silver colours?
Yep entire model.
Nice !!!!!!❤
Glad you like it!
Hi dude, great video as always! Is the lemartis and rest of the box getting painted up with videos? patreon?
@@Havana1990-o5z they are indeed. Big plans for the dreadnought as well.
@@MediocreHobbies perfect! cant wait, just got my pre order in!
Is the vox sturdy like the leviathan?
Do you mean the box?
Just had an idea for a video but maybe I missed it. A "brush" tutorial. What you use, what you recommend maybe the care of brushes. Just an idea!
Will have a think about that-thank you!
I can't help feeling his hairs gonna get stuck while he swings his axe with this miniature
Hahaha
ˋSo Mr Seth what are you going to about being dropped from the codex?´, wreck the gaff, obviously!´😅
I miss gabriel seth already
I wonder if using a combo of the new Astaroth and the conversion recipe from We Paint Minis, we could make a really dynamic and unique version of Seth?
Love this model but a bit salty about some others!
Andy, I knew it, they removed my boy Seth! T.T, atleast tell me he's alive. My box hasn't arrived yet!
Why does he have skinned armour like the chief librarian?
LOL "Riot...probably"
#justiceforseth
Is it just me that thinks astoroth facially looks like chancy brown as the kurgan in the film highlander...
What?! They removed Gabriel Seth?!
It ISN'T his face, it is a mask.
No no. It his face. He doesn’t wear a mask.
@@MediocreHobbies Its always been a mask, there is even a lip to the mask at the hair line. Along with the tubes and wires fitting into it, and of course the blood drop adornment on the forehead.
@@trivialpershoot have to disagree there.
@@MediocreHobbies fair enough :)
@@MediocreHobbies Are you sure? What is the silver thing under/on his cheeks? It looks like the respirator thing you get on the side of the normal space marine helmets?
How do you get such good coverage with contrast paints???
From what I can tell he uses fairly thick coats of contrast. Make your brushstokes as long as possible and try to not go over the same area twice.
