I use one of my dining chairs which have ladder backs with a knob. I warp a section, move the chair over, warp a section, etc until finished. Works great!

I just finished rolling on and have not started to weave yet. I'm sure my clasp joins will be rather jagged. I was overly cautious not to make the warp tight and found it made the joins shift as I progressed. Next time I will try making the warp a bit longer and use more tension while warping. I think the diagonal joins will be more even.

How about using a raddle that is clamped to the table ... ? Personally, I always use a warping board and cut to length, and thread the heddle away from the loom, and then tie bundles to the back beam, but have never attempted clasped warp, or color changes among a warp thread.

I understand the different yarn lengths with only one peg, but can it be done? Pegs are so expensive and I have no chairs with sides sticking up on the back.

What about running a fine line of Elmers glue along the threads on the beam to hold those threads until they are ready to have the paper inserted.
