The thing with Jeanty was would he have had those type of numbers playing in any of the power 4 conferences. I know he wouldn’t have in the SEC. Also, I’ve been struggling with people saying he’s just shy of breaking Barry Sanders rushing record. Sanders rushed for 2,628 regular season yards on 344 attempts over the course of 11 games in 1988. If you count his bowl game he rushed for 2,850. Jeanty played 12 regular season games and then a conference championship game. I don’t know if you count the conference championship as a regular season game, but after 13 games he’s at 2,497 yards on 344 attempts. My point is how can he be fixing to break Sanders regular season rushing record of 2,628 yards if he’s able to pass it in the upcoming playoff game or games? Those are no longer regular season yards and shouldn’t he pass 2,850 to say he broke Sanders record? The math ain’t mathing! I’m still trying to figure out how Hunter caught that pass in the front corner of the end zone in week 1 vs South Dakota State. That was superhuman! Travis deserved it and would have won by many more votes if it wasn’t for all the pathetic Prime/Colorado hate/prejudice.
@lestersmith7 Yeah I mean I'm just kind of going how the media is talking about it honestly which is why I acknowledged it took him more games. Jeanty possibly could have done it anywhere not doubting that but the facts are Travis just plays in a better conference so using a team record of why Jeanty should get it is not the best argument to use for why he should get it over Hunter.
