@@Maker_of_manners after I finish 2 of my CRV’s I’ll start on the civic. I just redid my rd1’s ball joints and bushings. I have some bilstein 4600’s on the way for it so it’s just about done.
I’ve heard Progress makes good stuff but man, that’s a lot of work. They better be inexpensive if the customer has to put them together. Lots of room for error for a newbie too.
Im ALMOST done with my suspension on my 91 EF hatch. Every single bushing was shot, struts were blown, ball joints were sloppy, all tie rods sloppy etc, cheap tires. Now it has all skunk2 control arms and camber arms, megan toe links, ES TA bushings, ES front sway bar bushings, ASR 24mm rear sway, Skunk2 pro st coilovers, and v730 kumhos in 205/50/15 Its stiff, but its not horrible. Spring rates are 10k front 8k rear. Im tempted to grab an Innovative Pro series traction bar setup next. Its not a daily driver, just an autocross and hpde toy, so some squeaks and noise is fine lol. Even now, its A LOT of fun to drive.
Always appreciate the EF content. I have an 88 and swapped my rear LCAs just because it seemed easier to find more suspension options. Currently have TruHarts, but I love the optional hi/lo holes on the rear forks on the Progress.
Using the factory top hats is nice. Just saves a couple bucks. Why not. Counting the threads on the damper body always seemed an easy way to get the car even/level.
Totally, would rather be paying for the functional parts than the parts that can be reused. Plus, the OEM top hats are better than aftermarket a lot of the time. We started off with them at the same height, but once on the ground the weight of the car makes the difference. It’s not 50/50 f/r and l/r.
In the Uk a variant of 'stick in a bucket' is "Chucking a sausage up the high street" I never see these anymore after the late 2000s and the govt scrappage scheme to get people to trade all old cars and get credit towards new ones. All these old hondas (like those and models like the CRX) are really rare. There are still the odd EK occasionally and obvs at car show but out in the wild i rarely see them. I like detailing so to see such an old one that shiny was a nice journey back in time.
@@VTECAcademy yes, I had the older ones, bought it back in like 2012. Wish I still had the eh3. It was white and bone stock when I traded my em1 for it
Super nice build….. I wish u would’ve set the bump stop after cycling the suspension with out the spring, that way u could’ve set ride height, up travel and down travel. ESP if it’s going to be road race oriented.
Measuring from the center of the wheel can always allow for some measuring error. Would rather just measure from the floor, that way the measurement is repeatable.
This is the right channel to ask about my ,97 odyssey f23 manual swap project.I used a 94 accord transmission axle clutch pedal everything to make it drive. I used the odyssey original wire harness, and ran a VTEC wire. I used the 94 accord ecu with a step down. It doesn’t idol well. So I bought a 97 accord ECU the idle air control does not seem to be functioning properly.I ordered a new 97 distributor so I can adjust ignition timing .Can you school me? Let me know what I need to do to get it right. I will pay you for your time if need be.thanks in advance…..
How much compression/droop travel do you have with these Progress units? I’ve been curious about them but shied away from how short the damper body is, out of worry they couldn’t handle the craters on the local roads
What ride height is good for my EF sedan I have 195/50/R15 and Monza suspension and my car was adjusted but I still have wheel gap and still hit half the time it’s annoying I want my car to be set up daily and for auto cross and not hit
Miss my Ef ❤️
I have a black ED7 with a b20 and this makes me want to get back into fixing it up

That's a solid setup!
@VTECAcademy Thank you! I've been watching many of your videos, you've got a wealth of knowledge in these little cars!

😂 High Street, eh?
I enjoyed my progress cs2 coilovers when I had my eh3
Awesome, they make good stuff. People sleep on American companies.

Quite liked it in Paris Dakar spec.

your going to end up cutting a factory set of pcm connectors and wiring it in .....ocd for the win

I want to buy Progress Coilovers for my CRX, but that installation process looks intimidating.
It was pretty easy. It always take a bit of time to do the first side and then the other side goes quickly.
Those mudflaps have seen better days
Nice

I have a question. Do we need to use torque wrench in tightening nuts for shock absorber install?
No
What do you guys think of bc racing coil overs for my ef?
Sir what is vnoles programing used in car
Couple of the rotors are on the wrong side or they sent you too many left or right side. The top of the slot should be pointed to the rear of vehicle
That EF looks naughty sitting low!
what wheels are those?
