They almost got me i almost joined the army as an engineer thinking it was a non combat roll and i wanted to be an engineer. Nope thats a combat engineer. Though they do get to blow shit up so maybe it wouldn't have been that bad
Your wife is a gem! God bless that woman and our troops! Happy memorial day and thank you for your service sir no matter how small you may think it was.
The paratrooper being dragged behind the plane is what’s known as a ‘towed jumper’. They can attempt to recover you, but if they can’t they’ll cut you free and you have to deploy your reserve.
Look up what Memorial Day is for please. There's nothing happy about people "celebrating" my good friend's sacrifice. SPC Christopher S. Honaker was born 25 September 1983 in Havelock, North Carolina. He enlisted in the US Army on 5 January 2006. During his time in Service he completed Basic Infantry Training, Advanced Individual Training, and Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. SPC Honaker then joined the ranks of the 2D Battalion 503D (Airborne) and the 173D Airborne Brigade Combat Team. He immediately found his home among the combat tested Soldiers of Able Company, 2-503D and he deployed with his Warlord brothers to combat operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom VIII. SPC Honaker distinguished himself as an exemplary M249 Gunner and as one of the finest Soldiers in the Spartan Ranks. SPC Christopher Honaker’s awards include the Bronze Star Medal with V device for Valor, the Purple Heart, National Defense Service, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge.
What happens now? The flight crew has to fish him back in. Now this is the one time you don’t want to say, “You should have seen the one that got away.” It was this ________ big! I know it was bad. 😂
In the academy when I was done on the firing range they had us recruits walk the range and we KNEW we picked up every shell casing and the instructors fucking had a handful of shells in their pockets just to smoke us for. Lol
I'm actually loving the fact that i immediately knew what a police call is cause my scoutmaster made us do them all the time on campouts, and yes they suck.
just came back from a 3 and half hour drive from tn to indiana and back to celebrate memorial day. Big respect for the military. happy holiday from surviving another drill sergeant catching you off guard.
I am extremely sick right now with a bad cold. You guys honestly take my mind off the fact that my cough hurts so bad it gives me chest pains. I love your videos and both of you guys
I remember one night in basic, I was nearly asleep, when I heard a noise on the floor. I look down and my 3rd R.D.C ( Former Navy man here) is sliding on the floor underneath the bunks and looks up at me and says "SSSSHHHHHH, watch this"! So I watch him sliding around and he gets behind the Fire watchman, and SHOUTS "BOOM YOU ARE DEAD" and the Scream of pure terror that comes from that poor man haunts me!
I was at Sapper School and we had to do a rope climb before we went to chowder. One of the dudes was at the top of the rope when colors started playing. Dude locked in and saluted for the whole song. He got a minor plus for it. Epic!
fun fact, my old JROTC instructor used to be the drill sergeant that trained the drill sergeants, in the three years i was at that high school i wished to hear him yell but i never did.
My dad (a retired NAVY chief and greenside corpsman) participated annually in a charity fundraising event on base called "beard-a-thon". It was done in September to raise money for veteran families who couldn't necessarily afford to splurge on Thanksgiving. Essentially everyone not out in the field would have all of September to grow a beard and mustache and whoever had the best facial hair by popular vote would be crowned King Bling. All money and food drive donations gained by everyone throughout September would be handed out to anonymous families in the community. Those in charge of delivery were told not to tell anyone the addresses or names of the recipients. Women could participate too, they were aloud to style and dye their hair, if they weren't in the field. Winner got their picture taken and put up. There were a couple other small prizes but I can't remember what they were.
There was also a school supply drive done around June or July. Essentially every year there would be a contest starring the kids art projects. Any kids in a military family (extended or immediate family members' kids) could submit 1 project that they made, whether a story, poem, drawing, song, video, ceramic, anything creative or artsy that they made themselves. And by popular vote about 10-15 winners, depending on the number of submissions, would be chosen and then there would be an "auction" held for the art peices that was open to everyone and was held off base. All the money raised from the "bids" would go to anonymous families (I don't know how they were chosen) for school related fees and supplies. They could be used for sport fees, school trips, supplies for the year, or anything else like that. There was also a "pagent" where several kids would go around, with their parent, and show everyone the different things they could bid on. It was a lot of fun to see and do.
I had to work the entire Memorial Day as an Amazon Delivery driver.. they told us the routes would be reduced, but nah. I was given the most poorly planned, hodge podge ass, most stops, most packages, and most group stops I've had in a LONG time. I was gonna be in and out and grill some damn burgers, but no, i couldn't get done until it started to get dark. Amazon hates America confirmed.
17:30 We had to do police lines in boy scouts and there was this one scout that was our senior patrol leader, and he made SURE that we cleaned the campsite BETTER THAN WE ARRIVED! And every time that he found even the TINIEST piece of trash: had to redo it all over again. It got so bad that even the adults had to step in and say “hey, we’re suppose to be out of here in like 10min, can we please get in the cars now?” I loved Boy Scouts but man is that one part I do NOT miss
17:05 Reminds me of the time Nation guard were working with cops during riots, car was moving in their general direction, it didn't stop so, someone says the two words that have different meanings for cops and soldiers. 'Hit it.' Soldier opens up on the car a few times(or once) before someone stopped him.. Dude got an honorable discharge I believe, nobody specified what 'hit it' meant either lethal or non lethal
I really appreciate you guys. I've been having issues with my husband and may have to leave him and go back home. I moved to another state for him and left everything I know and love for him and after 6 years things don't seem to be getting better. You guys have shown me what a Happy couple is and I want that. Please don't stop uploading videos with each other. It gives me hope that I can be happy again. ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you Grant and Lindsey. ❤❤❤❤
First off, Happy Memorial Day, secondly, I love that what Lindsey played on the harmonica sounded like a song, but what Narrator played sounded like thomas the freaking train and I hate that I remember what he sounds like
Not Barbequing, actually had to be part of a memorial day parade (volunteer for a Veterans Post and I had to be in my full uniform, had to march, 21 salute, and the POW table presentation) to all my vets, past and current, Thank you and Love you all
I love watching your videos I also watched the boys you guys are the funniest TH-camrs I’ve ever watched. I hope you have a great memorial day thank you for your service. You kept us safe.

Narrator I'm graduating highschool in two days I'm thankful that you were here your videos helped me out with my life thank you dad and tell mom I said hi 😊😂
When the people get stuck like that on static line parachute training they use another parachute called HUPRA to clip to the bunch of static lines then cut away the whole lot. Either that or you cut away to your reserve.
Happy memorial day! I do love watching these videos because I like to learn. I personally could never be in the military for three reasons: i personally dont like guns, i have extremely bad anxiety, and i have fibromyalgia. But i still like learning!
Narrator you are the man! You have inspired me to make my own TH-cam channel... I've only done 3 short videos so far but plan on way more. Thanks for all the great content and inspiration!!
When I was working as an RA in housing, our fire sprinkler system went down overnight so we had to pull “fire watch” where we did rounds of the building all night, waking up the next pair every hour so someone was up literally watching for fire.
Day 90 I will be posting this on ever video hence forth until dnd. All right the challenge, a call to arms if you will, you need a dnd video. i will even DM if you so choose but do not test my resolve it is not required.
Happy Memorial Day to u and Tysvm on ur service in the untied states military. I’m from Canada and I’m retired from the Canadian military. I’m a new sub on ur channel
From what a buddy in the Army told me once you obtain the rank of an NCO you have some options as far as doing NCO Duties and the main option is to do recruiting or go to Drill Sergeant School
Scream at trees for umpteen hours. At least that's what I got for an answer back in the late 90's when I was checking (optional) alternate paths. 16:30
That Drill Sergeant walking in the New Year's Party really triggered that "Current Objective: Survive"
And you can hear the person who is running say "OH SHIT, EVERYBODY TO YOUR ROOMS!"
Those were marines and that was duty
If he had the pt belt on they are dead because your invincible in it
It's like that Darth vader scene from Rouge one
@@nightninja7012 I can hear the music already
Man Narrator and Lindsey relationship is so wholesome and hilarious, I love it
Yeah let’s just act like we know they’re entire relationship from a video 😂
That one dude: RETURN TO YOUR ROOMS, EVERYONE IN YOUR ROOMS!!!
Drill Sergeant: Stop praising the sun, cause Daddy just arrived.
"WHY ARE THE NAMES NOT WHAT THEY'RE MEANT TO BE!" goddamn if that isnt the entirety of the military
They almost got me i almost joined the army as an engineer thinking it was a non combat roll and i wanted to be an engineer. Nope thats a combat engineer. Though they do get to blow shit up so maybe it wouldn't have been that bad
Yo, my heart STOPPED when that last drill sergeant just slowly walks into the hall with a freaking BATON (I'm assuming that's what it was)
LINDSEY HAS RETURNED WITH THE BEST OF THE BEST, HER HUSBAND, YOURNARRATOR!!! HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY, MAN!! 🫶🫶🫶

I love them ! They’re Soo cute together! Did you know that the boys have a channel dedicated to playing video games ??
@@Magicalwolfgamer just like the other boys said narrator and Lindsey wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for Nono square
Mad respect to you and narrator
They’re not married yet
"I used to be my dad's now I'm his brat" underrated. iconic.
Alright, the battle inviting marine woman over killed me. "Bro I F***ed up- aaaaHHHHHH!!!!!" 🤣
The breacher stormtroopering into the wall is priceless. 😂
Best part of this video for me was Lindsay's subtle nodding as if to insinuate she is the dom to Narrator
