Suggestion for the chicken and duck run: Break it up into 3+ mini pastures so you can open and close different areas. This will make it possible to allow the land rest and regrow so that the fowl don't completely decimate the soil. And you can seed the fallow parts with green mulch that the ducks and chicken can eat for improved eggs.

Aun recuerdo cuando cambiaste la tubería, fue un trabajo casi titánico, por todo lo que tuviste que hacer, ahora que nosotros estamos con el agua igual, envidio que podáis beber de ella al no estar contaminada, espero que nosotros podamos hacerlo pronto, cuando montemos todo el sistema de filtrado y purificación del agua. Buah, seria genial ver como empezáis con la renovación de las ruinas, aunque yo pediria que fueran constructores profesionales, el estado de esta lo requiere y a si podéis descansar un poco! Anda que no crece nada en el excremento del burrito jajaja. Yo tendría controladas todas las cañas, son muy invasivas, es mejor tenerlas bajo control. Que envidia de nísperos! You have the room close to the house to build/create an enclosure for Santi to play in while you are busy. The area just near the shower would make a temporary enclosure enough to put toys, and a place to sit for him and you. One thing that could be really pleasant is a fairly large area for things that bloom. Perennials could be the base plantings. You've come so far, through events that got serious quickly, but now you can plan, play with ideas, and just appreciate the work.

I live in less than 800sf and struggle to keep order and find a place for all my stuff too and there are 3 of you, so you are handling the small space as well as can be expected.
You might want to watch vlogs of Cindy Vine Portugal before getting any pigs. They destroy all her enclosures even with electic fences. It's also a full time job, although she raises them to sell.

Do you mean extract water as a form of water capture? Or just to dehumidify the house? I hadn’t thought about it or heard much about that so I’ll have to research!
@@LittleSpanishFarmstead I meant water capture somwhere outside using normal household dehumidifier. I don't know how effective it would be in a dry climate, but it's worth to buy a small used one (25-35 l/day capacity) and try running it in some open shed to avoid direct sunlight.

Have you thought about sheeparding a few animals to clear growth, help maintain spaces, and fertalize your paddocks. A couple goats?
We do use our donkey for land clearing. Much easier to contain in a space than goats, but he wouldn’t manage on the slopes

Nope, never seen a cockroach here! I think they are more a city thing. Not sure why but thankfully that’s one creature we don’t have to deal with 😂
