The reason is because if you're playing on a map like nuketown, your team spawns on one side, the other spawns on the other side. You can flank the enemy by shock charge and the armour to kill them easy.

The lock on sign is only for the ripper specialist when you have it. It tells you when you can use it. Has nothing to do wit the fury😉
