If Israel and the U.S. were to pull out of the UN, and send all of their reps home, it would be the message that the UN needs. They could move the UN to Iran, where they could observe the functioning of their favorite State directly. The wives of the diplomats could don the approprite gear. I love the idea. Let's not forget that these diplomats at the UN, when they are not voting as a bloc against Israel at every turn, do love the benefits of life in New York.

Two problems with making Aliya - Exorbitant apartment prices and lack of sense of security.

@@thequaggaslastday are you sure? Really sure?
even if in doubt you can still use your intelligence, friendships, skills and diplomatic capabilities, and if those are lacking as well then you'd have to make effort to improve them.
and if the apartments are still too expensive then negotiate with the government, find a cave or build a tent; save for the mighty winds blowing it away.
or if you do not have much faith at all then you could simply wrap up and watch rubbish or informative documentaries on TV, if you can afford the electricity bill.
mundanity has proven to be boring.

@@Dondrup Well said, but Israel is a deeply corrupt country...irreparablly corrupt, to the very core. It is a place of grifters and boot lickers. Sad.

I feel more secure in Israel than in Muslim dominated parts of the West. Less crime in Israel too!
However the apartment prices are high although I wonder if London or LA are any less

I’m 33 years old living in the USA for 20 years. First 13 years lived in north Israel. Grandparents fled from Aachen Germany to Israel in late 1930’s at the time of synagogues being set on fire. Grandparents survived but my grandmother lost all her 7 siblings and both parents. My grandfather lost both of his parents. There are movies like Ordinary Men which try to illustrate. My grandparents have since passed and I hold onto their stories. Thank you for these discussions which make me strongly feel they are with me and all of us.

criticism for the Israeli state does not equal anti Semitism, especially if its by Semites be they Jews of Palestinians who based on their DNA of the same racial origins. Palestinians do not have the J haplogroup of Arabs, they may speak the language, but they are descended from Jews not Arabs so don't confuse critique for political Zionism with hatred of all Jews.

Arabs of Palestine AS THEY CALLED THEMSELVES totally REJECTED the identity of Palestinians in 1918. They went further. They said they would FIGHT and DIE to prevent the British from creating Palestine separated from Syria.
The reason was, Palestine refers to the Kingdom of Judea, the name created by the Roman Empire, so the Arabs insisted that Palestine is "Zionist propaganda".
In the 1930s, the top anti-Zionist militants again told the British they were part of Greater Syria and do not want to be separated. In 1937 they were offered 75% of Western Palestine. They rejected that with violence, the Arab Revolt.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Eastern Palestine had already been taken away to create Jordan, with a population of identical to Palestinians which is 90% plus 10% the Hashemites from Arabia.
In 1939, the British totally caved in to Arab violence and offered them 100% of Western Palestine for a new state, but they REJECTED THAT, because of the stipulation that Jews could live there, including Jews that had continued living there for hundreds or thousands of years and never fled the region. They. Never. Wanted. A. State. They wanted to exterminate Jews.
The concept of "indigenous Palestinian people" was adopted by Arabs of the former British-Palestine region in 1964. It was created by Communists. It was created by the Soviet KGB and the Lumumba University in Moscow, and introduced by a Muslim Brotherhood member from Cairo, Egypt named Yasser Arafat.
Some of these Fake-istinians, who adopted the COLONIAL EMPIRE NAME for their identity, have ethnic Arab ancestry and last names referring to Arabian cities.
Some have last names referring to cities in Syria, cities in Lebanon, Al-Baghdadi is self-explanatory, Al-Afghani, Morocco, etc.
Another common name is Al-Masri which means of Egypt. Fathi Hamad pleaded on TV for help from Egypt in the task he described of totally annihilating every Jew on Earth, saying "we are Egyptians just like you".
That ethnicity argument DOESN'T EVEN MATTER because 2 million Arabs of the same mixed ethnicities are loyal citizens of Israel, vote in Israeli elections, owned businesses in Israel, have full religious freedom in Israel, and they can choose to be apostates or be gay without getting their head chopped off. They call themselves Israelis, not Palestinians, because Palestinians means being at war with Jews, not "living in peace with Jewish neighbors".
The main reason ethnicity is a side issue is because Judean-Jewish refugees and migrants PURCHASED LAND LEGALLY from Turks and from Arabs. They had no capability of stealing land even if they had desired to, which they didn't. They got along by politely making deals with Arabs to buy property. They bought uninhabitable wasteland and transformed swamps and deserts into livable farmland and cities.
The issue of establishing their state for self-determination arose AFTER they PAID ARABS for land, and after it was clear that Arab leaders who insisted on total extermination of Jews were not going to be friendly government leaders who they could live under.
Arabs hated "Jiggers" being "uppity" which is how they were seen by the racist Arab Muslims, who were infinitely worse than the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK only wanted Black people out of their racially pure towns. The KKK wasn't trying to erase people of a different race from planet Earth, but that was the openly stated goal of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin Al-Husseini, who then took time off to become a Nazi intelligence officer.
THE SAME MINDSET is with the PLO, PFLP, PIJ, and Hamas. No negotiations, only extermination. They will however accept an independent state that they don't really want, because they want Jerusalem to be the center of the new Global Caliphate, if having a state will help them exterminate Jews sooner.
This was after the previous 3 + decades of organized mob raids on Jewish cities and Jewish neighborhoods to mass annihilate Jews and steal Jewish land, such as in Hebron and Jews who had owned property in Gaza for hundreds or thousands of years.
Independent statehood is a WHITE LIBERAL EUROPEAN concept, not an Arab concept. ISIS and ISIL refer to local versions of the Global Islamic Sharia Empire, not an independent democratic western state with a president and a legislature and all that nonsense.
