I had the great pleasure of meeting Marvin McQuitty during the Commissioned Reunion rehearsal….my godbrother uncle was a member of the group and we hung out at the rehearsal space back in Southfield….. He was super cool and allowed me to sit with him during the rehearsal and watch him play…. That day was a game changer for me as a drummer…
My only complaint is that there was a higher quality version of this concert on TH-cam and it got taken down. Idk why but it's gone and this is the only version I can find now. Oh well, in everything give thanks 😊

I want to thank God for the peace that gave me while I waited for the surgery to be over . It was never the bass, it was always the player. You can get a better bass with more options than Ken Smith if you find a good luthier to build one. There is no need to give KS 10-15 grand for a bass. Get better woods, multi scale, all that and more for 5 grand.
