Hey Joe, great repair, how has the pedal held up after 1 year?
I have heard stories where sometimes the pedal still comes unattached when pedalling due to too much pressure and force. interested to hear

It finally came off one day when pedaling.

Unfortunately mine didn't work but I think it's because one metal is steel and the other is aluminum

How long did it stay fixed ?

    • @joehowto

Mixed at a ratio of 1:1, it forms a permanent bond and can be shaped, tapped, filed, sanded and drilled after curing. At room temperature, J-B Weld™ sets in 4-6 hours to a dark grey color. A full cure is reached in 15-24 hours. J-B Weld™ has a tensile strength of 5020 PSI and sets to a hard bond overnight. It can withstand temperatures up to 550ºF when fully cured

@@joehowto wow! I just JB Welded my brand new Himiway Zebra drive side pedal after leaning over to far on a turn and pedaling. Caused it to strip and pedal wasn’t holding true anymore and got worse in a day. I way 250lbs and the bike is almost 100lbs. So I’m not optimistic it’s going to hold. I just ordered new pedals and new crank set. It would be cool if it holds until the new parts arrive.

@@w8liftr74 I just made the same mistake I think we booth put the pedals on the wrong side causing one to strip through, I have ordered new crankset and bottom bracket for it. hopefully all go’s well.

@@FrenchKissr I ride sport motorcycles also. Just got my 1st Fat tire Adventure Ebike and had over leaned and started pedaling to early. It caused the pedal to scrape the road very hard and the threads got warped. Had to replace cranks and pedals. It was a rookie mistake!🤭
