Hey guys I think somewhere in the video I say that when you beat the game you get that many perk points, not the case. You have like a profile level that goes up in between runs. I could swear I remember getting the points in earlier wins that way but I guess I slipped. Didn't have time to find the edit on it. Sorry!
"...in times where everybody has MP3-players." Splatty, have you heard about this new cool thing called mini disk. i'm tellin ya, this will be the next big thing!
Loved this video and the previous one on this title. Can't help but wish for a full playthrough as usual haha. Thanks for another great video splatter!
Respect a working man! If you have a job, a real job, you can play 2-3 hours a day, max. In week ends maybe 5 hours, something equalling entry-level for a hardcore gamer, a teenager or a veteran with plenty of time. Hoping when I turn 60 to play everything in my Steam and GOG libraries, some 200 games right now, classic ones. That is, of the world still stands. Or when we will have internet-cafes on the Lunar surface
For sure you legit set your pace! I been playing on and off, you can take your time to get to the ending. Heck, my firat run took 20+ hours because I really took my time. Now you have legit multiple ways to end the game. Its so fun!
@blade8741 I used to love taking my time and checking out all of the small details and really immersing myself. 🎉 but I had to quit weed. I feel like I've been cheated out of my only real escape from reality
As weird as the person taking a couple of hours to walk across a house is, I think the day-night cycle is well timed to be an ever-present consideration on exploration trips.
You gave me the impression that, while there's a lot of cool stuff you can get into, ultimately it's more effective to just rush to the end. If that's the case, what's the point of all the options? That sort of thing turns me off. 'Hey we have all these cool things you can interact with, but you can just go beat the game in an hour instead!'
@splattercatgaming at around 22 you got confused on why you woke up. when you went to bed you selected the option to rest until statues alignment was healed... then you woke up. but i would have done the same thing you did and freaked out for a moment. i do when i play minecraft all the time and i think i hear a creeper..
Ahh! Last time you played Terminus I could hear waay better! I've lost some regular conversation dB's now which basically means I cannot hear your narration fully etc. Film, TH-cam, games and such all gone(everything is quiet and thin sounding). But as I said before this game is definitely a very interesting take on the genre. And I appreciate the survival and skills application in this game.
Argh, came too late to the party dude With the 1.0 releasing I guess the price went up by A LOT Guess I'll have to wait for 1-2 years until big discount come in 😫
I dunno, the game felt too restrictive too me. Like every step brought you closer to death. There was no freedom to explore. Maybe the game is going for that depressing feeling, but the other mechanics of the game are also too simplistic to be engaging. Yes, you can get a car, but most of the time its fuel tank is nearly empty and who the heck would carry gas on them on the off chance they find a working car? I greatly prefer something like project zomboid, the survival mechanics actually feel realistic in that game instead of overly punishing like this one.
Not true. You need to make your 'Base' if you want to be a completionist near a Gas station and a Park/fortified house for infinite Food+Gas and exchanging goods to continue on for days. i went till 110 days till i achieved most long term achievements.
I have no problem with other games being inspired and using game mechanics from other games that work, it’s not against copyright ,as long as the code was written from scratch and is their own code. We would have no new games if we restrict mechanics to just one game. Plus if you want to go down the who copied who route then Zomboid took inspiration from Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, which CDDA was created first.
Not to be a dick, but just so you know: "satiety" is pronounced more like "say-she-ye-tee" with the "she-ye-tee" faster like "she-itty" 😁 PS. while I'm being a pedantic dick: lithium isn't an anti-depressant, it's a mood stabiliser.. more for bipolar disorder than major depression.
I don't understand why so many games add meta progression, making the game the hardest when you start out and easier as you go. It's the opposite of what I would want, and I don't want to create my own challenges to make up for it.
seems like a mildly better project zomboid. Not to say PZ is necessarily a bad game, they're just overbloating it with useless crap and not really fulfilling any promises made (ive heard atleast) and pz has an extremely.. unfun difficulty. I love the looting and zombie bashing dont get me wrong. But when a hoard spots you from all the way across the map, you run from it only to continuously stumble into more and more until you're exhausted and cant get away, well. Thats a majority of the pz experience. Creating your own difficulty is better, but still.
I'm with you. Retro was cool, but now everybody is doing it and a lot of it just doesn't hit. It's doesn't really remind me of bygone days anymore, it just makes my eyes hurt.
it lowers the cost of development, great for indie and solo devs it's also quite a popular choice because gameplay sells in the long term, graphics only sell in the short term look at the success of Tiny Rogues, just to name one

Its okay Splatty we still Love you ❤️
Unsub, can’t stand the lies!
Sir can you please start the videos without the 2 minute intro waiting in the menu 🙏
Sir can you please start the videos without the 2 minute intro waiting in the menu 🙏
There is a chance the devs had it that way at first but, then they updated it to be tied to profile level
Parks are great, there's a body of water so you can fill up and you can fish passively or actively.

I love how slow the guy is XD An hour to go through from one end to the other of the house :D
He's got alot on his mind, just shuffling his feet thinking of beets.
remember he's moving at horror movie pace with 5 bags wrapped around him
The aluminum bat you were using had a -%50 modifier for the head attacks and you kept using it to target the zombies' faces in lol.
Apparently I own this game. Yay Steam library.
what?
Same here. Forgot I put about 5 hours into this until just now
Had it on my wishlist for a while, glad to know 1.0 its coming, I will definitely buy it
I've bought it like a month ago. Sank 60+ hours in it, planning on sinking another 50 at least. Really awesome game, I couldn't turn it off.
60 hours in a month is not a lot for that kinda game

This works for me who doesn't want the pressure of the fast pace games

Was that a legitimate Tom Green Bumbum Song reference?? Amazing
> "...mp3 players."
If it makes you feel better I sometimes still think about my old tape playing walkman.
The comparison to board games is very accurate considering this is basically just Dead of Winter in video game form
Did you say there is a lot of games like state of decay? Where?
Yeah please tell. I fkn love state of decay and have seen nothing like it.
Game is a pack of shit
@@sAgA1012-c7f Absolutely
@@sAgA1012-c7fI’m sorry you feel that way
Nearing 1.0 + Turn based + Doesn't follow the trends = Instant buy
Ah, I recognize this game: it's the one with the backpack that looks like a stone head from the Easter Island.
This is giving me some turn based Zomboid vibes
Great game, so glad i pulled the trigger after your last video on this
A tom green reference... amazing
ThankYou SirSplatt
You chose to wake up when you're healed mu man foucs. 😂
Thr ambiance of the game was just nice
Skooma Steve...
Hey splat, been watching you for legit like 15 years got here early today 💪
Looks very inspired by cataclysm dark days ahead
Terminus like the one from The Walking Dead? Sign me up!
Will you be visiting, or joining up?
Destroying it of course 😂
Being part of their lunch of course.
I went to go wishlist this and discovered that I already own it.
🔥🔥🔥

Woah woah woah. Black Ops just revealed there new zombie map and it’s called Terminus… thought that was weird just seeing that and your video!

"My bum is on the cheese, my bum is on the cheese."
At least it isn't on the Swedish yet.
Thanks for showcasing. ^^
Grabbing the demo now!
dark days ahead but not as an insane learning curve
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a fork of CDDA, there's too much in common.
@@danchevrie3719with that kind of spaghetti its better to make a new one
Its kind of a mish mash of many genres, as is the tradition of 2024.
Cant wait to watch this!!!
thanks
looks fun!
@Splattercatgaming Wayward Terran Frontier: Zero Falls has had a huge overhaul, you should check it out and let us know.
I do like this game, despite it being a little rudimentary in visual design
That zombie left me feeling a bit sickly, you know what I'll do? Eat an entire raw onion, that'll make me feel better. 😖
excellent!
🖤
I havent seen any games like state of decay
SOD is a great game series!
huh. i'm surprised that splatter doesn't know that mobile phones _are_radios.
For anyone who find this interesting, you should also try Project Zomboid

Why did you have to remind me of mp3 players 😞 I remember breaking mine as a kid and my parents not buying me a new one
Honestly, I have seen this game at least two times here, no? That does not feel fresh to me.
I am just no fan of point and click or turn based. Bit too passive for me.
The amount of inspiration they took from Project Zomboid is absurd
