      Loved that!😁 So glad they captured that! That was the moment for me that solidified Lindsey as the one true captain of this team. Doesn't seem like much. But to smile like that at one of the greatest veterans the USWNT has ever had...is complete confidence and belief in your position and role on that pitch.

    Listen to this interview I though it was made after the game against Netherlands due all those comments about Daniëlle van de Donk, which it was exactly what happened in the game.
    I have to admit that her battle in the field and post hugs and comedy was the thing I enjoyed the most from the game (which it was a great game as well).
    I love Lindsey and Danielle, plus she made a great goal.

    Great interview with a great player and class act. It is easy for a girl, or a boy, growing up in Europe, South America or most of the planet to fall in love for football, as is the passion in those parts of the world, so I always find impressive that a girl like her, growing up in a country where the sport is not part of the culture, gets to love it so thoroughly! Kudos Ms Horan, btw, I was hoping you were a Liverpool fan!!♥️♥️

      Soccer is huge for the youth, especially for the girls so the sport on a professional level doesn't have to be big for it to attract quality athletes.

    Great series of interviews Rog! Congratulations! Thus far, my favorites were with: Savannah DeMelo and Naomi Girma - interesting insights into both of them. My MAJOR COMPLAINT with this World Cup, and Fox's presentation, is that we do not get to hear the voices of Ian Darke and Derek Ray. Watching football without the sounds and humor of British play-by-play announcers is horrible. Yes, we do get Jacqui Oatley and Warren Burton - and JP Dellacamera is a nice familiar voice for U.S. fans. FOX made a terrible error in not having Ian and Derek. Personally speaking, a disaster for me!!! Keep up the good work Rog!!!

    I think Horan is miscast as the playmaker. I’d have her getting into the box and onto the receiving end of passes and crosses. Lavelle is the natural playmaker.

      Completely agree. Plus Ertz needs to be moved back to her natural 6 position letting her handle the middle, while Girma, Cook, and Fox handle the back line. The pieces are there, it’s just kind of weird what Vladko is doing with them.

    *I don't care about European soccer. I am only interested in the USA National Women's Soccer League which is the best in the world. The USA is contributing with 83 players in the current World Cup. No European league is contributing with so many players to the World Cup.*

      And that "self-absorbed" American Arrogance ties into the distorted
      Media & Fan Bias that will say there's more Depth in Women's Soccer
      but that the US is a "shoe in" to Win; They may prevail, but that an
      oversight and ignorance to the Fact, it's going to be harder for the US
      or any Top team to totally dominate; and the US League has had
      instability dating back to the aftermath of the 1999 World Cup,
      so though it's True the US College & Pro infrastructure is helpful to
      International players, what "biased" types miss is A, the US should
      lead in that statistic w/ 300 + Division 1 schools, not to mention
      D2 & D3, along w/ a population of 300 Million; That's just an Ego Trip
      that says, if a non - American country is succeeding Americans want
      to take all the credit for it; And B if you knew any Better the surge
      of the European Leagues that have Support of the Established teams,
      be it Arsenal, Man City, Lyon, Juventue, etc, along w/ a strong
      European World Cup, or the Euros, which it's often referred to;
      The access to the facilities, medical / nutritional staff, and
      improved salaries in a market that has expanded it's understanding
      ;
      of properly paying talent to the Women: And smart US players will also
      play in those "so -called lesser cared about" and what you deem as
      "weaker" leagues, which is proving to be untrue. Every US citizen
      w/ "One - Sided Tunnel Vision" will be pissed when European &
      S. American teams start racking up W W. Cup trophies, Unlike
      an American like Myself that understands
      the parity & balance of talent has already arrived, and will continue
      to blossom; That's good for the Sport, whether the US wins or loses,
      something partisan people who are criticizing the US Women for
      not blowing out the opposition in Group Play
      DON'T UNDERSTAND; Real PELE's Autobiography, if You &
      other "over - patriotic" dummies can stomach the idea a
      Brazilian legend, along w/ George Best, Giorgio Chinalgia,
      Johan Neeskens & other international Stars brought attention
      to the sport/ "the beautiful game" to America

    • @bepsolo
      @bepsolo ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Stop being ignorant and arrogant, the days of the U.S dominating football are over, they will still be one of the best teams but will never ever dominate football again like in the past. The best football schools have always been in europe, they just didnt invest a lot of money in the womens game, now they have. The best 50 womens players in the world listed by espn, 14 of them play in france, 14 play in england and 11 play in spain and 3 in germany, that is majority of the best players in the world play in europe, including a handfull of U.S players. The USNWL is not the best which world are you living in, stop dreaming. Spain are the best and most technical football team and also play the best football. Remember football is about skills first and everything else is secondary.
