    Great video. I still remember a long time ago when I was a child 👦 having to eat liver at my Mom's table, 🥴yeah it made my spine shiver. So I just picked up some previously ordered hamburger from my local butcher's shop. I got 10 lbs of beef blended with 1 pound of liver plus some kosher salt,black pepper and garlic powder. Holy cow it smells great and only cost me $77.10 🇨🇦. That's a lot of carnivore dinners for under $10 each. I'm going to increase the amount of liver a pound at a time until I taste it, then cut back a pound. They have a very big industrial mixer for this stuff it comes out looking great. My butcher put it in 1 pound portions in for me to put in the freezer. I tried some last night and couldn't taste any liver so I'm going to try it again today and then order another 10 lb with 2 lb of liver added. Have a good one. Ivermectin is your friend.

    I grew up eating liver. It was cheap. Literally the cheapest meat. It was the same with Kale. Germans having to eat kale was a big reason behind food riots during ww1.
    I never thought I'd see Kale become so expensive and popular with yuppies. This year was the first time I've seen it with liver. Chicken liver now goes for 3 times the price per pound of chicken drumsticks in my area.
    I hate when middle class and rich folk take poor people food and decide it's amazing. It just means we have to find another food for them to ruin in a decade.

I love my veggies and fruits too. I follow a Taoist type diet where I eat more meat during the fall and winter and lots of fruits and veggies during the summer. Red Curry Liver - I mix Thai Red Curry paste with a little coconut milk and spread it onto the liver slices, then I cook it in a sandwich grill for about 4 minutes, just till it's barely still pink inside. The grill must be very non-stick, because the curry paste will want to stay on the cooking surface - if it does, just scrape it off and put it back on the liver, it will still be delicious!

    • @WildLumens
      @WildLumens  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mary...what a great idea. I try to stay carnivore without spices but if I decide to get a little crazy I'll have to try this. Sounds like curry paste will def help with the flavor and using the sandwich grill is genius.

    Hi, I just found you today and was surprised and pleased to see this video (3 so far ). We found a local butcher who makes a special combination for us... 14# 70/30 chuck, 4# beef heart and 2# each liver and kidney. It's been good for any recipe I've used. I'm ketovore for now, trying to get to carnivore... at 79 it's a little bit of a challenge and I'm quite sure I'll get there. Thanks for the great recipe ideas, greatly appreciated 👍.

      @@deplorable7575 pretty good. I am using intermittent fasting as well and seeing very good results. Did really well with very low carb keto for years and would stall alot with weight loss and tried to trick my body with some carbs to get it fired up again. Usually just set me back but I pretty much stayed with keto anyways. I kind of evolved my keto to Carnivore at times when I got really strict with cutting carbs as close to zero as possible. Now I decided to go full Carnivore and the switch was pretty simple since I was already 90 percent there. Hope I didn't give too long of a reply. Thanks for asking. I used to hate liver back when I was eating grass, chocolate and all sorts of garbage.
      Now liver is like my narcotic. It is sweet and like a desert for me. (try cooking it on high heat so it doesn't cook fully on the inside and it remains medium rare to medium, you can burn it on the outside if your want, the inside is important)

      @@WildLumens if you do buy some vanilla protein powder try doing these 2 things with it as it is unbelievably good - slow cook chunks of beef, roll them in the powder and then fry them...sooo bloody good!
      PLUS you can make [albeit expensive, but the occasional treat] vanilla protein powder, sour cream or regular cream with eggs blended up for a light fluffy and sweet pancake.
      The sauce can also be a small amount of protein powder or chocolate protein powder with cream and pour over the top. So good! You seem to like butter which i love too, so you can just have the pancake plain with butter [berries optional]!!!! yeah see what you can find as an alternative as you are quite creative - i would love to find out if you do!

      Hi Richard! thanks for watching...yep, love grass fed beef heart. I've made it with burger meat as well as stew.

    If that's a Regal La Machine 1, then I also use the very same. Thanks for the recipe! Maybe you can make a video explaining the nutrient content of liver to show why people need to overcome their unreasonable revulsion of organ meats.

      I'm actually not sure if it is a Regal La Machine. I just looked and it says "Cuisinart Art Basic Food Processor." I do know it's old. In the near future, I do think I will make a few videos on organ meat and their nutritional importance....thanks for the recommendation and for watching!

      Thanks for the recommendation! I grew up hunting but moved to a city and now want to move back to the mountains and start again...so it's in the works.

    DOES ANYONE EVER ADD KIDNEYS TO THEIR GROUND BEEF?

    • @WildLumens
      @WildLumens  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Diana! Wow, I’m not sure and I have never tried. When I buy a beef I usually only get the liver and heart. Anyways, have a happy and healthy new year!

    I'm going to try that - after my tummy settles down - been carnivore for the last few months and now my tummy is rebelling - high fat meals lead to a run to the toilet! Annoying

      Yeah same with me at times. Totally relate.

      Hi Leopoldo...It is def great. So easy to make and great for the body with all the nutrition from the beef liver...perhaps the most nutritious food on the planet for us humans. Thanks for watching.

    You could try to tip-toe so we can't even see your eyes. Your forehead out of the frame is not enough. (sacrasm) Actually at about 2:20 we were only be able to see one of your eyes, which means you're halfway there already.

    Nice, but obviously the hamburger press was completely useless. None of your burgers were of uniform shape.

      I have an old-fashioned stackable plastic set, that you can press and freeze in the containers. Just pop them out when frozen. I spray them with pan spray before pressing. If I want smash burgers I press with my cast iron tortilla press.
