This is why I kinda preferred Michael's run. I watched Jungle Run as a teen, and it felt like the stakes were way higher. Bit dark for a kids show, but I didn't mind.
@@Zack_Attack_X If you like kid's gameshows where the stakes are considered high in the story of their adventure, I *highly* recommend CBBC's Raven and Mission 2110; The former has been very well-archived on this site, but unfortunately the latter is missing 2/3rds of the first season and almost all of the second.
This guide has the patience of a tree. These kids did horrible. Especially Danny who made no effort to escape the cave. And yet the guide kept his cool.
What on earth was that boy doing when he came to the stone bridge section of the tomb, did he not realize he had to knock out the bamboo shoot to low it and escape!
Problem solving was obviously not in his skill set. He looks bad here, I dread to think what would have happened if they sent him down the Pyramid Maze.
I always wonder what happens to team members who get trapped inside the Temple at the end of an episode. How do they get out and go home to their parents?
It is surprising they didn't hear the drum warning sound. The team go home empty handed if they get trapped in the temple. I bet Sid and Elvis got them out after
If i'm being fair that JUNGLE DRUM WARNING for the temple is rather quiet so you can't blame them for not hearing that, but for ignoring Chris Jarvis warnings on getting out I would say is unforgivable but then again did Chris give as much warning as Michael Underwood did, I guess it depends which way round you look at the overall situation doesn't it.
They wasted nearly an entire minute on the Stone Monkey puzzle bit in the Temple. If they'd have completed it faster, they would've perhaps won the Bronze Monkey
If this was the Dominic Wood or Michael Underwood era where the warning was significantly louder then there really is no excuse for not hearing the warning, the Chris Jarvis I could perhaps let them get away with as I probably wouldn't hear the warning at first I would need the host shouting the time and getting out in order to make a quick exit from the temple.
Imagine bragging to all your friends about going on Jungle run and then returning to school being locked inside the temple

This was the first time I ever saw a team get trapped in the temple as a kid.

The jungle drum was rather quiet I thought. A 20 second warning noise I think would be loud enough to hear would be a panther's roar.
Or maybe a gong, like in the Dominic Wood series

One of the worst teams I ever had. This teammates couldn't hear the drum sound that only have 20 seconds left!
And now I've been told the only sounds they hear in The Temple should be The Drum makes this more Unforgivable!
