In the acknowledgements TJ Klune said people hate loudly and love quietly and Klune is no longer doing anything quietly- I think this book was a good example of that. Somewhere Beyond the Sea is much less subtle with its messaging than Cerulean Sea was, and I can see how that will annoy some readers but it made me love it even more
Love the special appearance. I've enjoyed Klune but haven't picked up his latest yet. Glad to hear your thoughts. A feel good book is just the perfect thing as the days get shorter (and the US elections loom).
I liked the first book more. Too much virtue signaling for my taste in Somewhere Beyond the Sea. While I agree with all of Klune's points, I do not like being spoon-fed those points to me.
I finished Somewhere Beyond the Sea just this morning and personally...I think the book is FIRE!
🔥🔥🔥
@@GemofBooks David is one character I gravitated most in the book.
His love for acting coupled with his overall personality was such a delight

I really enjoyed the acknowledgements. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy 🥰
Love the special appearance.

Definitely the climate to pick up something feel good! 🧡
Love your little helper!! Seeing spider man made my day better!
I very much enjoyed House, so I need to get in line for this one. Thank you! 🔥
Charlie will be delighted that spider man made you smile (it certainly brings him a lot of joy 😂).
Defo worth a go matey when you get time 😄
I loved the first one so will definitely get it. Sounds so good 🔥
Defo an Em book! 🔥🧡
I am on hold for the book! I am really excited to read it since I really loved the first one 😊
Yay! Hope you love it too matey 🧡
Read it and loved it! 🔥
Yes!! 🔥🧡🔥

I love these books so much the kids are just adaurable and I felt seen̈
They are adorable. I’m so glad it made you feel seen. Books that can do that for someone are extra special 🥰
I have this on audio, but I'm a little trepidatious. The House on the Cerulean Sea was a perfect book and I don't want this to detract from it!
The audio is well done, though I felt the same about Cerulean, and this didn’t quite hit the same note
The story holds the same cozy spark as House does
I read and enjoyed it but it's incredibly saccharine.
I would agree, though I was definitely in the mood for it 😂
Saccharine?

I get that, and I do agree that it was a bit ‘holier that though’, though it didn’t annoy me too much. Good critique though.
I finished Beyond the Sea this morning, after reading it since September and I didn't have any such experience, personally
