dan i could kiss you! ive sat in lectures listening to someone go on about network address broadcast address and host portion without any graphical aids whatsoever! thank you! id say with three more viewings of these videos ill have it ingrained in my head which goes where! subnetting was a pain for me i got the numbers sure but i never knew what to do with them! big thumbs up!
also thanks for the additional topic of covering how to get the router to know about the other networks on the other lan static address it and force its next hop!
thanks a lot for your courses , it has been very helpful !! Just one thing : it would easier if u wrote the lan and wlan addresses on the topology using the note tool :D
I think you need to explain how you got the network and mask for the first one. and my class just used 0.0.0.0 for both the network and mask for the second router for a network.
In every video i could see routers and switched already configured..Can you please show me how to place router switched and PCs and connect them.what interface do we provide in order to get more ethernet. IP addressing scheme ..Please help me with it.i am having hard time using packet tracer.. Regards Rao
This video might be a eleven years old but it is still massively helping me! Thank you!
Dan explains things exactly the way I am able to understand. What an excellent Instructor he is.

I wish you would've shown the GUI setup for PacketTracer in the beginning. Seeing what I'm doing helps me memorize the commands for the CLI.
can you explain how to setup the static route? like where did you get the address you put in the "network" area in the GUI?
thanks men you helped me a lot
