Wow! What a haul! I just re-started collecting and found some interesting coins and bills in my collection. I have a $50 1954 with the Devil's face and a 1950 .50 cent coin with a cool die crack. I have a box of 5 cents I just picked up from my bank and will go through that in the next couple of days. All because of you and Rob Finds Treasure. Thank you!
Bill - I certainly owe a lot to RFT for getting me back into collecting and coin roll hunting a few years back. I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos, and I really appreciate your support! Have fun with your hunts. Part of the fun of getting back into collecting is re-discovering what you've got in your collection! Let me know what you find in your nickel hunt!
Thanks, Scott! This was tons of fun, for sure! I was suprised to see as many 10s, 20s, 30s as I did in here. That was pretty awesome! And an album filler, to boot!
I certainly feel luck to have found this lot of coins! When I saw that pill bottle full of wheats, I couldn't believe it. I was pretty excited about what might be there, and it didn't disappoint!
Super jealous, James! I still have yet to find a 1912-S in the wild. A fantastic value for the price paid. Don't give up your antique dealer's information, he is a keeper!
No doubt! I go in there religiously every week so he doesn't forget who I am! Who knows, the next time he has a little lot like this, it could be chock full of key dates!
Wow! That is incredible to have all those wheat cents especially the steel cents! I live in the states and coin roll hunt and just started filling my coin books. I have a bag of Canadian coins and may buy some collection books for them. Thanks for the great video!
Pennies are some of my favorite coins to search. The other day I got a 1896 Indian Head cent in a roll with a steel cent. Also finally got a 1949 A point to denticle cent.
Well, there's lots of info online about US coins, and perhaps not so much on Canadian coins, so I won't hold it against you!! Thanks so much for watching!
Nice score of that 1912-S, even though it's in a lower grade. The 1932-D is also a little better. I used to love going through totally 'unsearched' rolls and accumulations. It wasn't unusual to find several semi-key dates at that time, including several of the early dates with mintmarks. In those lots the 1918s and 1919s were so common that some were in EF-AU with mint luster. Unfortunately, there are so few truly 'unsearched' accumulations remaining that filling some of the earlies is an exercise in futility since there are virtually no coins before 1940 included in any lot. But I did hit it lucky in the last accumulation I bought. The seller didn't know anything about collecting coins and was selling a large lot of cents. There were a handful of Indian cents in G-VG from 1890-1908. The semi-key dates included in this lot were 1909-VDB, 1910-S, 1911-D, 1912-D, 1912-S, 1913-D, 1913-S, 1914-S, 1915-P, 1915-S, 1926-S and 1931-D. Besides that, there were over 100 Lincolns in the teens, including several 1918-P, 1919-P and 1919-S in AU. I was happy with the lot.
Wow, Albert - that was an epic score of wheat cents. That's why I love buying these types of collections - you never know what might be in there, and if it came from a collector and hasn't been searched by anyone (at least not thoroughly) there might be some surprises in there.
Hey James! Very nice collection. I love the 1912-S. Last time I said that you could hunt more boxes etc but you could also start hunting bills. I found a lot of repeater hunting 1000$ in 5$ bills.
That's a ton of wheaties, James! Wow. Wheat pennies are one of my all-time favourite coins to look through. Such a wide range of dates, mints, key dates to look for. That 1912-S is a great one to have! P.S. Would you ever be interested in doing a trade? I have a bunch of Canadian and American coins (silver, oldies, varieties, etc) that I've personally found over the last 10 years or so that I'm ready to part with for storage reasons. Wanted to throw it by you first in case you were interested!
Send me an email to cadrollhunter@gmail.com and we can chat. I have a couple of regular trading partners, so not sure if we can make something happen, but you never know!
You did all right on that collection. I don't collect American money. I only have two bills, a $1 and a $2 bill that are American and all the rest of my stuff is Canadian. I do have a question for you. Where did you get your your camera there? You use it or your microscope to put the coins under and turns up on your computer. I was just curious where you got it or where you can get them 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
I have 4 rolls of (99% Canadain) copper pennies, and 3 rolls of wasted zinc/steel pennies, found metal detecting I'm thinking of starting a penny album, although the zinc pennies are mostly rotten, the coppers are in maybe like g condition or something maybe Do you have a lighthouse vista discount code?
A penny album of your metal detecting finds would be awesome, actually. Some of them might be ugly, but they all have a story! You can use the Discount Code "CRH20" (without the quotes) on the lighthousecanada.ca website for 20% off.
I know it isn't pennies or americans but I found my first black toonie today in my change.. less than a week after my mom gave me one from ontario lmao

You did really well with your pickups, this was really fun to watch. Thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed it! It was lots of fun looking through these coins!
The 1912s is a great find. The 1932d is another tough one. That looks like it was a lot of fun.
Thanks, Scott! This was tons of fun, for sure! I was suprised to see as many 10s, 20s, 30s as I did in here. That was pretty awesome! And an album filler, to boot!
James, you Lucky Duck! I don't even have a 1912 S. That was the best find ever! Definitely worth the $100.

Book is looking great, surprised there weren't more fillers.
Well, I had a pretty good start with those trades from Nicole and Greg! The rest of those cents will be pretty tough to get!
Very Nice James!! Good luck in the hunt!!
Thanks, John!

Me, too. You never know what you'll find An Indian Head cent is awesome! And contrats on that 1949 - a really tough one to find!
Very very impressive. I wish I had as much Canadian coin knowledge as you have US coin knowledge 🎉

Well, that's still an awesome find! The 2000 WAM I found in this collection wasn't the best looking either, but I'm glad I found it!
You did all right on that collection. I don't collect American money. I only have two bills, a $1 and a $2 bill that are American and all the rest of my stuff is Canadian. You can get the microscope from Amazon - here's the link: amzn.to/3QiKYTn
I highly recommend it!

Did you check the steel cents for 1944?
Yeah, no 1944 in there. Wouldn't that have been awesome!
