Oh yes... Miss Sunshine Unicorns & Rainbows HERSELF deals with Social Anxiety. As much as I love talking to people and broadcasting my life for the world to see, I was faced with serious Social Anxiety when it was time to be around a group of people I wasn't familiar with. We saw SO MANY PEOPLE but we honestly only interacted with maybe 8 total, (four were on the last full day), & that alone was a HUGE accomplishment for us! I personally have to keep reminding myself that it will take time for things to feel "normal" & it will take time for me to feel comfortable being around people...and that's OK. Thank you all so much for turning in and supporting my journey on this channel 💗
I support you Brittany. Social anxiety and all variations on extreme anxiety are no joke. Folks it is real and many suffer from anxiety and depression. Lets pull for Brittany so that rainbows, unicorns and sunshine are always for her. Blessing your spouse, your fur babies, your journey and of course Domino.
You are certainly not alone when it comes to social anxiety. It really is going to take time to control it so we have to go easy on ourselves.. Great video and thank you for sharing.
Looks like such a fun weekend!! I think most of us have social anxiety considering what we've all been through over the past year. Isolation is something else!! Move at your own pace, don't feel forced or pressured, just do you and what makes you and your family feel safe and happy!! Thanks for sharing ❤️!!
Seriously, someone asked us if we were hiding out in the forest or something, (because the dogs were so territorial of our space). They would do the soft growl, BUT still have a crazy tail wag to accompany it. The poor pups forgot how to be around people and its so sad, we are going to try and go to dog parks more to let them socialize... its insane how our fur babies pick up on our energies and stuff lol
Social anxiety is so common really. It is normal to feel anxious when you are experiencing the unknown. I actually appreciate people more for being real about their feelings.
Brittany your clips are truly useful and entertaining. Being open about your anxiety is appreciated. As someone with complex PTSD for the last few years but who has also been a tour guide in the publics face most of my adult life. It is also nice to see your guy and glad you can help each other.
I’m so glad that Andrew was with you. He needs to go on your adventures with you more; if his work schedule permits. Having both the dogs with you guys was precious! The walk you two took with the dogs was beautiful. Live to you and continue your safe travels. If you’re ever in north Louisiana I would love to meet up with you. I’m ex Army and we could chat about the different services and how women coped. Again love you and your channel
Jada has grown! I love how when you throw a ball and the dog don’t always go retrieve it and you end up retrieving it yourself. That’s what my dog Margo does with me!
You are right to feel what You feel, and no need for apologies! This pandemic ain't over yet, and unless you are going around asking, "you got yo shot?" we must distance!
lol right!!! I tend to do all of my errands in one day because I dont want to be OUT... i need to do better, because I can be out for about 4hours and feel completely drained like I just worked a 12hr shift or something lol That lowkey stress, and anxiety is really hard on your body and mind.
HEY FRIEND!! Thank you so much, sometimes it is easier to just put it out there. It's always comforting to know that you're not the only one dealing with readjusting to life outside of the four walls, thanks so much for the support and kind words!!
ugh I swear Covid didnt help any of us improve our social skills BUT as things slowly start to open back up, I will continue to dip my big toe into the waters until things start to feel like normal again. I really hope you have good ways to cope... isolation will only make things worse for us. :) Thanks for watching Clarinda.
Thanks for the share and the transparency, Brittany. It's no joking matter for sure. Wondered how I was going to do in my first true social event. Answer: NOT GOOD. But we get tougher, we remember, and we get used to it again. Stay up and stay safe, fam! ❤🙏🏼
Oh you got this!! I was happy to have Andrew with me for this meet up...having someone to escape with when you're feeling overwhelmed or just want to take a walk with was soooo needed!! A wingman might not be the worse idea for future social events... it really helped me out.
It was so cute when your husband pretended to give Jada eye drops too. One of my dogs needed insulin twice a day and I had to pretend to give a shot to my second dog.
U r one of the 1st that I have seen talk a little bit about actually having social anxiety around people in groups since the pandemic. Not because they have always been like that or because it's the 1st time they have been to a event like that but because of not being around a group in so long. I have had the same problem but I feel like I'm the only one.
Trust, we went through all the feels... lol Andrew was like NAAHHHH at first because of fears but we talked it out, and with sweaty palms I purchased the tickets lol. Even when we drove into the event, we were still like, "are we making the best decision", but I am so happy we went... we really did our own thing, came together with people when we were ready, and just enjoyed our little space. I think the diff from a tiny home fest and a vanlife meet up is, most people live the life, and wont really come to your space without being invited. So we were able to have our space and privacy...which made the experience better for us, with less stress. I hope you're able to go to one when you're up to it :)
No apologies for experiencing social anxiety. I think everyone will be a little more cautious than the have been. I felt so bad for the guy whose vehicle broke down at the gate, but most of us have experienced an inconvenient breakdown. I think 90% of them are. Y'all stay safe and TFS💖

I too suffer from severe anxiety and have been on Xanax for 20 years. I so wish Texas would legalize cannabis for medical use at least . 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Love how Andrew fakes the eye drops. So cute
😊
Well done 👍 mental health is the biggest pandemic this world is facing! You are not alone.

Thank You, yes... patience and remembering to be kind to ourselves. This is almost a new transition for everyone really.
Great music choice Brittany!! Loved the vibes of this one ☺️✨

We really did :)
Love it 😀
typical vegan cheese doesn't melt, but if you can find almond cheese like the stuff they have at trader joe's it does melt and does taste like cheese.
Cool, we have a trader joe's here! I might have to try it out lol

Love the puppies. Buddha looks so much like my pug Yoda.
The #19 has made alot of people anti-social, I'm not myself either.

How do you find out about the van meet up?
Instagram... I follow hashtags like vanlife or diversifyvanlife and certain IG pages post meet ups
You have to get the right vegan cheese! I get Daiso (I think that's the name!) It's so good and melts!! Lol
I feel the same way about vegan cheese but I do like smoked Gouda cheese
Lol it’s gonna b a long walk up. Very nice though.
I don’t like Vegan Cheese either baby!
Thanks for all you shared!

you have to cover the VEGAN cheese and let it steam
I hate vegan cheese.
