[like the scene where they are "eating" dinner and all the able bodied people are mocking them]. the pile of clothes represents those who have already been eradicated due to their imperfections. [i am guessing it's old age or illness or any type of disability.] there is a lot more symbolically going on with this track but those are the main points i remember. the cube is "death" in a way and yes, it is chasing them, but it's helped by the way people view them. it wouldn't find them so easily if people didn't think they don't belong, if that makes sense. i don't know much about IU or if she has lore or any of that but the fact that she who is ridiculously famous as both an actress and a singer wrote a song like this....she is beloved now, but she wasn't always because she doesn't [or didn't?] fit Korean Beauty Standards. and Taehyung said yes to being in the music video, knowing the storyline, when he is famous all over the world and admired for his features.
