I'm peruvian and I'm studying english british and this video I understood it more or less. so good for improve my listening. thank you for the video. God bless you..
This is an awesome video for those on a intermediate level of English speaking ability. I will be using this and other videos from this youtuber for all my classes AND the adult English club I teach. This is what they need to learn - slow, methodic, (robotic) English until they are comfortable with the language, and ONLY then can emotion and quickness be taught. This was exactly what I was looking for, cause other videos have people speaking quick english and that just doesn't work.
I'm not native but I feel like this is NOT how you communicate in reality though LOL It isn't like that, right? It was made for us to learn a few basic sentences in order to understand or express them, but it feels a little... forced LMAO xD
sakura5sango6 ya and they’re speaking very slow with a lot of spaces between words and they’re really emphasizing on every letter of every word😂 natives tend to skip a lot of letters when they talk. For example “would you like” would sound like “wouldchu like” or “can I get you anything else” would sound like “can I getchu anythin else”. Also natives never pronounce the “g” at the end of words that end with “ing”
@@nova9672 Yes, I know that. But I understand that they need to pronounce slowly and every word for starters. It'd be OK if they'd talk more naturally in higher levels, but for people who start listening English it would be too much yet xDD I think that the problem is rather about the vocabulary. Or ar they THAT attentive with the client, because maybe I have an idea of Brittish restaurants that's not good LOL. Sorry if that's the case. I think they would say things like that in some places, mostly elegant, richer ones, but not all of the food establishments, I guess (?). I don't know, it feels a little off xD
I don't understand. Does it mean I can go to eat at my favorite restaurant here in town and then have the bill shipped to my elderly home? Which room should I name when asked? Bedroom?
Hi. I teach English in Vietnam. My school concentrates on speaking and listening and for higher level learners we have introduced 4 specific topics: Food and Beverage, Travel, Shopping, and Entertainment/Free Time Activities. Part of the course is for students to do their own study. We are sourcing various videos and audio links which students need to watch or listen to, and then they need to answer questions about it. After seeing your video, I was wondering if it would be possible to use various snippets from it for this self-study segment? Many thanks, Mr D
Only one thing that when wrong in this video is that when the guy ordered a bottle of wine. The waiter girl hold the cup at the top where the guest is going to drink from. She was to hold it at the stem or in the middle and then throw the wine in the glass. But great video though.
Cheese and biscuits fresh apple pie and a chocolate eclair oh yes I’ll have a chocolate eclair may I bring you anything else yes I’ll have a latte please Getting the check
Really well done, but a couple comments. First a whole bottle of wine? That's a lot. Secondly, for the US, for a 36.75 bill, giving her 40.00 and keep the change would put him in the cheap category. I would personally give her between 5-7 dollars.
CrossCountryBR Hmm. You are right, I missed it. The term used is service charge, not American, I get it now. As I see that this is used in many countries it certainly leaves an opportunity to discuss regional tipping practice.
+Nara Chan It means, "Can I add the cost of the meal to the bill for the room?" This customer is staying at the hotel, so he already has one bill at this location. Hope that makes sense!
