Not a Tesla owner, with no plans to become one -and even moreso after your story-time. My father worked for Rolls Royce in their central London branch, and always instilled in me to look for the best in-person customer service that could be found when it came to mechanical issues with vehicles/dealerships/ownerships/leasing. It might well sound 'old school' to still be doing and thinking that way, but I don't care. My 16 y/o daughter will be getting those same lectures as a younger driver, too!. Invariably, I enjoy your videos whenever your content appears, and don't always count on notifications.
Sunday mornings I always watch your videos with my morning coffee :) I rely on notifications for the other videos and watch when I can during the week. That being said, do what you need if you need to cut back a bit!
I honestly haven't paid attention as to what days you post, but when I sit down at night to watch some tv/TH-cam I just look to see what new videos you have posted and watch them all.

I always get your notifications. As far as cars, I live in back country where a Tesla or any electric vehicle is impractical. Hauling horses up and down mountains won't work with a Tesla! Heavy trucks and rugged equipment are needed.
Ah, but things will get bigger and stronger without killing our planet. The new electric semi’s are case in point, and the new electric trucks, especially the Ford-150 look really good.

I own a Tesla and my friends own some and they’ve never had an issue with it. Tesla has always been great at settling any issues by coming to our house. My experience with big dealerships has been like your Tesla experience. I used to own a Lexus and the service center was horrible! A oil change would be three hours and they wouldn’t give me a loaner. So I would wait there with no where to go! I also showed up one time to get a noise fixed which would take a whole day just to get there and have them tell me there’s no rentals. I could either come back, or wait at the dealership for 8 hours!!! My point is, with any car, the inverter can be a problem. My dad’s Mini Cooper had that issue and he couldn’t get into the dealership to fix it because dealerships don’t fix inverters. They’re not a shop, they’re just service centers. They wouldn’t give him a rental either. We waited three months for a local shop to get it done. So even if you had any car, Toyota, Honda, ford, etc. you still wouldn’t be able to just go into the dealership for them to fix an inverter problem. They’d send you to a local shop and you’d have to deal with the logistics as well as the renting of a car.

You are certainly NOT being a brat. This entire push for electric cars is ridiculous. And then the impersonal environment of having to deal with an app??!! No thank you. I drive a BMW powered by gasoline. I have driven BMWs for years and the service is exceptional. I am sorry you had such a frustrating experience and I feel that all of your thoughts surrounding the “what ifs” are well founded and legitimate. I agree with you! I don't like all this technology instead of people. I just struggled with a doctor office app and website. 2 separate techs for one office. It shouldn't be this difficult. And, why do all these doctors want online charting systems? Each one using a different charting software
Wow! I hate hate hate car problems so your Tesla story gives me anxiety! Personally I think the communication process you experienced is subpar for the cost of vehicle you’re dealing with! An inverter is what converts DC to AC power. I don’t own a Tesla, but we live in a solar powered home and our system has inverters so that’s what it does in a solar system! Lol. I don’t desire to own a Tesla (couldn’t charge it a lot of the time at home anyways) and I’d rather power my home off solar and help my footprint on this earth and be able to drive with the option of fuel and not having to find power stations! We live way way out of a town and in a very cold climate. Electric cars are just not sensible for a lot of people! And our electric grid could not handle it right now.
In Texas, where our power grid stinks and we have “brown outs”, I can’t imagine having an electric car! If I can’t have AC or heat, I may want to leave my house.
I have to say it...any car can have a breakdown, Tesla isn’t the only car that has that potential. I’m not sure every car out there would have the technology to tell you to pull over prior to the problem, so I think Tesla may have some advanced technology. Hybrids are a good option, but I believe electric cars are in our future and we shouldn’t be afraid of advancing and moving forward as the technology is improving. So sorry this happened to your family.

I don't own a Tesla, but my husband and I have discussed some of the issues you talked about as far as lack of charging stations, etc. But the lack of customer service and inability to speak with a real person is a deal breaker for me. I watch your videos as they pop up, I have the notification bell on. Thank you for the Tesla info. My oldest wants one and this really scares me, the lack of customer service just put the icing on the cake as well. I'll stay clear of them, Hybrid is definitely a good option. Have a wonderful week.
We’ve had 2 Teslas for years and haven’t really had any issues (knock on wood). We also have free super-charging, so we will continue to drive them for as long as we can, but I’m not a fan of Elon Musk, so our next cars will be from another manufacturer. There are so many viable electric car alternatives now. I had a very expensive Mercedes that quit working while I was driving on a major highway with my infant grandson in the back. We were stranded, and that did if for me. I will never own another Mercedes.

Your Sunday video is always the one I get to watch right away for 2 reasons: 1) you are 2 hours ahead of me and 2) I love to watch it while getting ready for church! I was aware you posted three times a week, but wasn't sure about the exact days. You should do what is best for you and if two videos a week would be more manageable, then that is what you should seriously consider doing. I know you upload several days a week but didn’t realize you had specific days. I check my notifications every morning and always watch yours. I am also signed up for notifications to remind me and I watch as long as I don’t have any conflicts with work or appointments. It is completely understandable to go with a 2x/week schedule especially in summer. Not that I don’t love all of your videos 😉 I mainly rely on the reminders because half the time I don’t know what day of the week it is.. life of a nurse and 12 h shifts will do that 🤪 Thank you for keeping me up to date on new products etc. I am turning 50 myself this year. I rely on your skin, makeup, and clothing advice to keep me up to date. I would live in scrubs and a messy bun 24/7 without it!
I really enjoy Sunday morning videos, they seem to play well with the first-morning coffee. The others I watch on the treadmill because they usually require "watching" you (SAT/Oxford trips) or around-the-house videos. Love the content, Marnie.

Wow, thank you Marnie for the Tesla story. We have only just had the Tesla Y released here in Australia and my husband and I were keen. However, your experience has definitely given us food for thought, so much so we will probably drop it entirely from our shortlist. There is a lot to be said about having reliable and actionable human interaction. As for your TH-cam upload schedule, while I do have the notification set up, as mentioned I’m in Australia so really just watch of an evening before bed a few nights a week or if I’m really busy I just make TH-cam my Sunday night watch and relax time. When I have time in the evenings, I just get on TH-cam and look for the recent videos I've missed and watch the ones I'm most interested in or have time to watch . So for me it wouldn't matter if you stick to your schedule or not.
I knew this about your schedule on uploading videos. I know recently you did a video on what your day looks like which included the schedule on the videos. I remember thinking “that’s awesome that she is so organized and treats the channel she owns like a business.” It’s great to look forward to the 3 days a week that you upload. Keep it up!

Hi Marnie, I’ve been one of your original subscribers and have never received a single notification, ever. I also wasn’t aware of your posting schedule. Thank you so much for the information on the Tesla. I also lease my car and am midway through this current lease and so cars have been entering into our conversations. I live in Australia and the lack of charging stations is currently an issue. My youngest son and his family live about 16 hours drive from us, in the middle of the outback, and an electric vehicle is just not even an option with that situation. I can totally understand your frustration with this ‘customer service’ situation and would be equally furious. ❤️

I could either come back, or wait at the dealership for 8 hours!!! My point is, with any car, the inverter can be a problem. My dad’s Mini Cooper had that issue and he couldn’t get into the dealership to fix it because dealerships don’t fix inverters. They’re not a shop, they’re just service centers. They wouldn’t give him a rental either. We waited three months for a local shop to get it done. So even if you had any car, Toyota, Honda, ford, etc. you still wouldn’t be able to just go into the dealership for them to fix an inverter problem. They’d send you to a local shop and you’d have to deal with the logistics as well as the renting of a car.

You are certainly NOT being a brat. This entire push for electric cars is ridiculous. And then the impersonal environment of having to deal with an app??!! No thank you. I drive a BMW powered by gasoline. I have driven BMWs for years and the service is exceptional. I am sorry you had such a frustrating experience and I feel that all of your thoughts surrounding the “what ifs” are well founded and legitimate. I knew you had an upload schedule and I have notifications turned on, but I watch when I have the time to. Scary story with the Tesla, makes it that much worse when kids are driving. Doesn't matter how many videos you upload in a week, I love watching your videos!!
I agree with you! I don't like all this technology instead of people. I just struggled with a doctor office app and website. 2 separate techs for one office. It shouldn't be this difficult. And, why do all these doctors want online charting systems? Each one using a different charting software
Wow! I hate hate hate car problems so your Tesla story gives me anxiety! Personally I think the communication process you experienced is subpar for the cost of vehicle you’re dealing with! They’ve definitely got to establish a better process.

An inverter is what converts DC to AC power. I don’t own a Tesla, but we live in a solar powered home and our system has inverters so that’s what it does in a solar system! Lol. I don’t desire to own a Tesla (couldn’t charge it a lot of the time at home anyways) and I’d rather power my home off solar and help my footprint on this earth and be able to drive with the option of fuel and not having to find power stations! We live way way out of a town and in a very cold climate. Electric cars are just not sensible for a lot of people! And our electric grid could not handle it right now.
And that whole app thing. That would drive me crazy! I mean some things would be fine dealing with on an app, but major/big things- no way!

In Texas, where our power grid stinks and we have “brown outs”, I can’t imagine having an electric car! If I can’t have AC or heat, I may want to leave my house.

I have to say it...any car can have a breakdown, Tesla isn’t the only car that has that potential. I’m not sure every car out there would have the technology to tell you to pull over prior to the problem, so I think Tesla may have some advanced technology. Hybrids are a good option, but I believe electric cars are in our future and we shouldn’t be afraid of advancing and moving forward as the technology is improving. So sorry this happened to your family.

I don't own a Tesla, but my husband and I have discussed some of the issues you talked about as far as lack of charging stations, etc. But the lack of customer service and inability to speak with a real person is a deal breaker for me. We’ve had 2 Teslas for years and haven’t really had any issues (knock on wood). We also have free super-charging, so we will continue to drive them for as long as we can, but I’m not a fan of Elon Musk, so our next cars will be from another manufacturer. There are so many viable electric car alternatives now. I had a very expensive Mercedes that quit working while I was driving on a major highway with my infant grandson in the back. We were stranded, and that did if for me. I will never own another Mercedes.

I was aware you posted three times a week, but wasn't sure about the exact days. You should do what is best for you and if two videos a week would be more manageable, then that is what you should seriously consider doing. Good morning 😊 I have watched for several years and I am aware of your schedule. I am also signed up for notifications to remind me and I watch as long as I don’t have any conflicts with work or appointments. It is completely understandable to go with a 2x/week schedule especially in summer. Not that I don’t love all of your videos 😉 I mainly rely on the reminders because half the time I don’t know what day of the week it is.. life of a nurse and 12 h shifts will do that 🤪 Thank you for keeping me up to date on new products etc. I am turning 50 myself this year. I rely on your skin, makeup, and clothing advice to keep me up to date. I would live in scrubs and a messy bun 24/7 without it!

Wow, thank you Marnie for the Tesla story. We have only just had the Tesla Y released here in Australia and my husband and I were keen. However, your experience has definitely given us food for thought, so much so we will probably drop it entirely from our shortlist. There is a lot to be said about having reliable and actionable human interaction. As for your TH-cam upload schedule, while I do have the notification set up, as mentioned I’m in Australia so really just watch of an evening before bed a few nights a week or if I’m really busy I just make TH-cam my Sunday night watch and relax time. When I have time in the evenings, I just get on TH-cam and look for the recent videos I've missed and watch the ones I'm most interested in or have time to watch . So for me it wouldn't matter if you stick to your schedule or not.
I knew this about your schedule on uploading videos. I know recently you did a video on what your day looks like which included the schedule on the videos. I remember thinking “that’s awesome that she is so organized and treats the channel she owns like a business.” It’s great to look forward to the 3 days a week that you upload. Keep it up!

Hi Marnie, I’ve been one of your original subscribers and have never received a single notification, ever. I also wasn’t aware of your posting schedule. Thank you so much for the information on the Tesla. I also lease my car and am midway through this current lease and so cars have been entering into our conversations. I live in Australia and the lack of charging stations is currently an issue. My youngest son and his family live about 16 hours drive from us, in the middle of the outback, and an electric vehicle is just not even an option with that situation. I can totally understand your frustration with this ‘customer service’ situation and would be equally furious. ❤️
