Is that the Evans HD Dry? That's what I've been using on my Pearl Joey Jordison snare forever now, but once I bought my Mapex Black Panther Sledgehammer I wanted to experiment so I shelled out $50 and bought an Evans Hybrid and installed it on the Sledgehammer and cranked it down and was blown away! I'm using my Joey Jordison as an X snare now which still has the HD Dry on it. My little experiment is producing pure magic! The 2 snares with the Hybrid and HD Dry are a match made in heaven.

i was wondering what mics do you use ? i believe the toms have sennheiser 421's on them , and correct me if im wrong ...AKG overheads not sure which ones tho . What are the others if i may find out ?

I geek out over mics and outboard gear more than drums lol Kick Out - Shure Beta 52 Kick In - SM57 Snare Top - Beta 56 Snare Bottom - SM57 Hi hat - SM81 Ride - SM81 Overheads - AKG C414 XLS (x2) Rooms - Blue Baby Bottle (x2) Toms - Sennheiser MD421 (x5) I like the sound of a 57 more on a solo snare top, but the beta 56 has better rejection and a metal grille so it's a little more stick proof. Overheads are about 42" from the center of the snare and the rooms are about 110" from the center of the front of the kick drum.
@@KyleBrianAbbott i'll probably go for austrian audio oc818 overhead pair over the akg , and neuman u87 for room mic . with audix set for the rest of the kit :D
