I’m excited to see you blossoming alone , I always felt you were a bit judged and held back before and maybe too scared to be completely yourself . I always thought there was much more creativity to come from you, now you can be completely yourself. Seeing you and your mum together reminds me just how much I miss knitting with my mum , so now I can join you two ! Lovely content thank you… Anix 🤎

Humbling to be a beginner. Making and having room for not knowing. Cookies. And car rides. Mother and daughter. Art and honest conversation. All of it. I’m here for it all! I loved the pattern for Thegither, tho didn’t love the twisted cowl. But I absolutely loved your scarf version and swear I swooned when you said that was the next project on Patreon. I’m signing up! Can’t wait for the discussion. And yes please to The Academic vest after that! As always, thank you Jackie. And so lovely to see Sally illuminated by her process and new adventures. ❤

Wonderful to listen to your discussion. Brought up so many thoughts about the creative process. Bravo Sally for diving head first into this new adventure of watercolors. You are a model to us all. And Jackie, a color podcast, as you had mentioned would be super interesting. Thanks you both.

    Thank you for sharing some
Of your life and your beautiful mom with us Jackie.
I loooove your quilts Sally and I think blue really suits you and make your eyes smile. Im sure your mom had the best intentions but I respectfully disagree with her choice of colors for you. Yiu look great in blue Sally. Another lovely episode Jackie. 💖💖💖

Thank you for inviting us into a slice of life Chez Jerney-Domini-Rose. A moveable feast for the senses and soul, an intriguing non-linear conversation about how we view the world and express ourselves. Loved learning and being inspired - references to Brown, Robinson, Perel, Rubin, Tibbey collection…. The beautiful colors of your surroundings and even the sound of the door moving in the wind. It’s an episode that I’ll return to and savor. And oh - yes, please to a Zoom book group on “Your Brain on Art” and other books on art and creativity! Love and thanks. ❤❤❤

Lovely podcast. I have always loved that passage from Keats. Lately, it's popping up everywhere. Have you read Maggie Jackson's Uncertainty?

Funny how that is. Keats and I go way back. 😉 Someone else has just told me about that book too: I hadn’t heard of it before! ❤️

Oh well, perfection! Loved listening to this conversation and Sally did a brilliant job on her own too. I have chosen a couple of options for the Thegither Cowl and will join the group and hope I can make it to the end. And I just noticed your recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies - can anyone have too many recipes?!

Olours and rhe colours we choose to wear or the clothes we are given to wear depends on mary facts. In the 40s and 50s girls wore skirts and PINK boys worn darker colours eg Blues. Sally's mother choose the colours and designs for her daughter to 'show' the culture she was not a boy. We lived a basic barter lifestyle so clothes were for economy. No luxury of bright colours or even jeans for girls. Culture does define the clothes we wear. Respect and clothes (eg putting on a headscarf and taking shoes off). Modesty and colours. Colours and clothing we WEAR depends on the culture, modesty or not, colours that we think are 'our' colours. So interesting.. but colour depends on....my most favourite colour, and the colour I wear every day is black on top and usually quilt fabric or linen skirts. I am a Quilt Maker and my quilts are my art. Bondi Crafter on TH-cam.

Oh my word, this was so chock full of good stuff! Taking Debbie's excellent advice and soaking in the wisdom. How wonderful to spend so much time with Sally, and how beautiful and rich was your conversation. Delightful, every bit. xoxo
