As usual great review. As I said earlier I am a proud owner of LG SL8YG which is 440w. I thought you will be mentioning it as an option below 40k price range. It's amazing. Those who have a budget of 40k and need all features then this is it. Brilliant technology. Gone are those days of 5.1 normal HT. Atmos, Dolby, DTS X, inbuilt Google Assistant does make a huge huge difference in sound experience. Bass, dialogue clarity, volume effect all are top class.

Hi Vineet, Great video. I have 3 questions. 1. Did you try Yamaha Music cast 400? 2. Can Sony X8500 be connected with a sub woofer for enhancing bass? 3. MOST IMPORTANT - My understanding is that Dolby Atmos decoding would require eARC connection with the TV. Most of the sound bars in your list don't have HDMI eARC port. So how to use it for Atmos sound? I am guessing I will we will play the content on TV and use these soundbars as external audio. Is there any other way? So if my TV does not have eARC, should I be buying any of the Atmos compatible sound bars? Thanks.

Even if the TV doesn't have the eARC ports, devices like Fire TV stick 4k or Apple TV 4K that support Dolby Atmos can still be used correct, that is when connected directly to the Sound bar's HDMI IN and the Sound Bar's HDMI OUT to the normal HDMI (without ARC) port of the TV.

First of all, i congratulate u on getting thousands of likes. felt happy to know there r so many music lovers seeking ultimate music technology. One viewer commented that to feel real experience of atmos, soundbar/home theater should not be less than 1000 watts. Plz clarify is it true? Likewise, make video on ideal room space for proper listenng of sound bar and home theaters.so that hearing is not damaged. Usually,in india bedrooms hv ten by ten gud for soundbars and living rooms hv ten by fifteen good for home theaters. Populace of lower middle class forms 4/5th of overall middle class, i think. Hi Vineet Ji - I read all the comments but this is a different one. I have Samsung Frame 2019 TV which has 2.0 ARC and internet says Samsung is not sending firmware patch any sooner to make it 2.1 eARC. Now, I'm planning to buy Sony Z9F (not Z9R bcoz i don't light wires) so a) Do i still need Amazon 4K firestick to decode Atmos since Z9F has virtual Atmos with no up-firing speaker? b) Sony Z9F and in fact all other non-Samsung soundbars don't pass through HDR10+ so does this make any difference in listening and viewing with just 4k and HDR pass through? c) You're doing superb job and your reviews sound awesome...:) Keep it up!! Hi, I think you have missed a point in this video. There is a big difference between ARC & eARC. The same speaker’s sounds different with these hdmi variants. As a result, with an eARC channel, you can enjoy the depth of movie-theatre-quality surround sound via formats such as DTS:X and DOLBY ATMOS. Due to the limitations of regular ARC, only eARC can currently process these formats. if your TV is compatible with eARC, but your Soundbar or amplifier is only compatible with ARC. You will still be able to listen to audio through your Sound system. However, due to bandwidth limitations, you will not be able to experience the maximum high-bitrate audio from the source.

So will ARC port support Dolby Atmos? I haven't seen eARC port on any mid-range TV like VU or TCL. Do I need eARC port on both tv and soundbar to send Atmos audio to sound bar? Hi Vineet I am planning to buy a Dolby Atmos Sound bar but I have few doubts , please find the below 1) My TV model is MI TV 4X Pro which only has HDMI ARC PORT but there is no HDMI E ARC PORT , so if I buy Dolby atmos sound bar , will I be able to get the Dolby atmos output from the speaker as there are limitations with with ARC PORT as ARC PORT does not support uncompressed formats like DOLBY ATMOS , DTS X 2) If I buy a AMAZON FIRE STICK 4K and connect it to HDCP 2.2 IP port of the sound bar and give a arc out of the sound bar to my tv arc port , will I be able to get the maximum advantage of fire stick i.e. , can I watch the supporting content of Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision on my tv , I repeat my tv has only arc port not earc I hope I will get a reply for the same Thanks & Regards Teja Vallabhaneni
Your videos are very informative and to the point. Well, I have a 3.5mm jack connected to my speaker. Overall sound is balanced when watching Dish TV but when I watch firetv or movie via USB the background sound is more than the dialogues. Good to see these content in india as no one reviewed speakers in India. Great! I am stuck between yamha yht 1840 HTIB and yamha yas 209 slundbar. I usually watch hotstar, prime on mi box. Tv doesn't have HDMI Arc, optical. Mi box has spdif coaxial. Dth has optical spdif. I am confused what to buy. A good 5.1 with AV receiver costs 50-60k. Suggestion would be helpful. Thank you.
Great review, nicely explained with all technical parameters. Am using LG SL6Y and its a beautiful product too. It's virtual DTS works amazing. Am planning to add rear speakers spk8 to it but it's out of stock everywhere in India. If you can help me with purchase of spk8 rear speakers, it would be great help.

Great unbiased reviews. Your new subscriber since yesterday. Gone through 10+ videos and all are quite informative. I have a small confusion in Yamaha YAS 109 and Sony HTX8500 bar. Both are similiarly priced. Please let me know, I would be really grateful .
Watching this on my LG SL8YG ... it’s not as good as the SL10YG for sure (it’s missing the side firing speakers of the SL10YG), but for half the cost I think it’s a really good deal. Even the SL8YG has an amazing output. I truly enjoy titles like stranger things and so on even if it’s not decoding Atmos, the 5.1 playback is really good too.. However the only thing I will mention is that I do face wireless connectivity issues between the soundbar and subwoofer and the rear speakers SPK-8 .. I have raised a service request so let’s see what LG says about this but I have seen this issue a lot on the internet about these LG Dolby Atmos soundbars from 2019.

Hi, with soundbars or home theaters you need a TV or media player that should support Dolby Atmos audio. If you have a normal 4k TV or blue ray player with no support of Dolby Atmos you will not get the Atmos sound effects. Amazon fire stick 4k, Apple TV 4k, Xbox one s etc. They support Dolby Atmos audio decoding. This is my experience I have a Denon amplifier which supports Dolby Atmos and DTS X with 55inch Sony 4k tv. I was not getting Atmos sound so I bought Xbox one s then the Atmos audio decoding appeared on my amplifier. Before buying Atmos sound bars check your tv or media players. In these days some of the TV's support Dolby Atmos such as Sony, Philips and Lg. Thanks

Listen to Atmos for a week you won’t return to stereo.
Even if the TV doesn't have the eARC ports, devices like Fire TV stick 4k or Apple TV 4K that support Dolby Atmos can still be used correct, that is when connected directly to the Sound bar's HDMI IN and the Sound Bar's HDMI OUT to the normal HDMI (without ARC) port of the TV.

First of all, i congratulate u on getting thousands of likes. felt happy to know there r so many music lovers seeking ultimate music technology. One viewer commented that to feel real experience of atmos, soundbar/home theater should not be less than 1000 watts. Plz clarify is it true?
Likewise, make video on ideal room space for proper listenng of sound bar and home theaters.so that hearing is not damaged. Usually,in india bedrooms hv ten by ten gud for soundbars and living rooms hv ten by fifteen good for home theaters.
Populace of lower middle class forms 4/5th of overall middle class, i think. For them, plz suggest any normal combo of amplifier and speakers between ten thousand n twenty thousand.

Hi Vineet Ji - I read all the comments but this is a different one. I have Samsung Frame 2019 TV which has 2.0 ARC and internet says Samsung is not sending firmware patch any sooner to make it 2.1 eARC. Now, I'm planning to buy Sony Z9F (not Z9R bcoz i don't light wires) so
a) Do i still need Amazon 4K firestick to decode Atmos since Z9F has virtual Atmos with no up-firing speaker?
b) Sony Z9F and in fact all other non-Samsung soundbars don't pass through HDR10+ so does this make any difference in listening and viewing with just 4k and HDR pass through?

Hi, I think you have missed a point in this video. There is a big difference between ARC & eARC. The same speaker’s sounds different with these hdmi variants. As a result, with an eARC channel, you can enjoy the depth of movie-theatre-quality surround sound via formats such as DTS:X and DOLBY ATMOS. Due to the limitations of regular ARC, only eARC can currently process these formats.
if your TV is compatible with eARC, but your Soundbar or amplifier is only compatible with ARC. You will still be able to listen to audio through your Sound system. However, due to bandwidth limitations, you will not be able to experience the maximum high-bitrate audio from the source.

What is the difference between ARC and eARC port? I have heard ARC will only transmit 5.1 audio. So will ARC port support Dolby Atmos?
I haven't seen eARC port on any mid-range TV like VU or TCL. Do I need eARC port on both tv and soundbar to send Atmos audio to sound bar?

I am planning to buy a Dolby Atmos Sound bar but I have few doubts , please find the below
1) My TV model is MI TV 4X Pro which only has HDMI ARC PORT but there is no HDMI E ARC PORT , so if I buy Dolby atmos sound bar , will I be able to get the Dolby atmos output from the speaker as there are limitations with with ARC PORT as ARC PORT does not support uncompressed formats like DOLBY ATMOS , DTS X
2) If I buy a AMAZON FIRE STICK 4K and connect it to HDCP 2.2 IP port of the sound bar and give a arc out of the sound bar to my tv arc port , will I be able to get the maximum advantage of fire stick i.e. , can I watch the supporting content of Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision on my tv , I repeat my tv has only arc port not earc

Your videos are very informative and to the point. Well, I have a 3.5mm jack connected to my speaker. Overall sound is balanced when watching Dish TV but when I watch firetv or movie via USB the background sound is more than the dialogues. Please make a new video including Samsung Q600 Q800a, q900a , Q950a , LG eclair , Sony HT A9 .. what do you suggest below 50,000 for a balanced sound which has wireless rear speakers. I have a hisense U71 50 inches 4K Led and a Samsung the frame 55 2019. Finally, I also have a Sony HT rt3 with samsung. Kindly suggest the combination of TV / soundbar setup once you suggest the new soundbar.

I am stuck between yamha yht 1840 HTIB and yamha yas 209 slundbar. I usually watch hotstar, prime on mi box. Tv doesn't have HDMI Arc, optical. Mi box has spdif coaxial. Dth has optical spdif. I am confused what to buy. A good 5.1 with AV receiver costs 50-60k. Suggestion would be helpful. Thank you.
Great review, nicely explained with all technical parameters. Am using LG SL6Y and its a beautiful product too. It's virtual DTS works amazing. Am planning to add rear speakers spk8 to it but it's out of stock everywhere in India. If you can help me with purchase of spk8 rear speakers, it would be great help.

Great unbiased reviews. Your new subscriber since yesterday. Gone through 10+ videos and all are quite informative. I have a small confusion in Yamaha YAS 109 and Sony HTX8500 bar. Both are similiarly priced. Please let me know, I would be really grateful .
Watching this on my LG SL8YG ... it’s not as good as the SL10YG for sure (it’s missing the side firing speakers of the SL10YG), but for half the cost I think it’s a really good deal. Even the SL8YG has an amazing output. I truly enjoy titles like stranger things and so on even if it’s not decoding Atmos, the 5.1 playback is really good too.. However the only thing I will mention is that I do face wireless connectivity issues between the soundbar and subwoofer and the rear speakers SPK-8 .. I have raised a service request so let’s see what LG says about this but I have seen this issue a lot on the internet about these LG Dolby Atmos soundbars from 2019.

Hi, with soundbars or home theaters you need a TV or media player that should support Dolby Atmos audio. If you have a normal 4k TV or blue ray player with no support of Dolby Atmos you will not get the Atmos sound effects. Amazon fire stick 4k, Apple TV 4k, Xbox one s etc. They support Dolby Atmos audio decoding. This is my experience I have a Denon amplifier which supports Dolby Atmos and DTS X with 55inch Sony 4k tv. I was not getting Atmos sound so I bought Xbox one s then the Atmos audio decoding appeared on my amplifier. Before buying Atmos sound bars check your tv or media players. In these days some of the TV's support Dolby Atmos such as Sony, Philips and Lg. Thanks

If your TV support hdmi(eARC) then u will definitely get Atmos effect... You should turn on vertical surround sound in remote
