    Lovin the rustic theme from 昔物所, cozy atmosphere, could spend whole day sitting there sippin' tea

    I've lived in China for a year and some change now, but still haven't had a proper tea experience. It seems quite unique so I really need to go!

      Definitely worth checking out, and it's a different experience as well depending on the province you're in so lots to explore

    I live in Ningbo which is north of Xiamen, in Zhejiang province. As you probably know, there's usually a tea district in most east coast cities and you will find tons of beautiful tea houses located there. The atmosphere of those tea houses didn't transmit to video very well and I hope you found better ones on your trip :))

      Michael Mooney some things are best experienced in person :) We only had time for these places but would definitely be discovering other tea houses the next time we're back in Xiamen (or China in general)

      Hi, could you give pointers to the district, as well as specific local teas to buy? Tips on potential gong fu style pots or gaiwans are also appreciated. My dad will go for work, and I was told I can get some stuff (if I can either put it on a map, or send details for locals to point him in the right direction).

    Hi, we would like to visit the teahouses when we come to Xiamen. Do you have the address? Thanks in advance

      Sorry for the late reply.
      One of our favourite houses 一茶(Yi Cha), the one by the harbour was sadly closed. But they opened another one not far away from the old venue, it's called 一茶书房 (Yi Cha Shu Fang/Bookshop). We only have the Chinese address: 福建省厦门市沙坡尾民族路116-1.
      The other favourite is called 昔物所(Xi Wu Suo) address: 福建省厦门市思明区南华路7-2号;
      The one in the shopping mall is called 仟茶院(Qian Cha Yuan), address is 福建省厦门市湖滨东路99号华润万象城B2层B247A号商铺.

    The music is horrible. Other than that it's a cool video.

      Glad you enjoyed the video. We'll aim to do better with our music choices for future videos ;)

      @@teaangle Sorry. It's that rap sound beat whatever it is it's in every second rap song ever made. Though that is my personal issue and you can like any music you want. Why am I even commenting about sound tracks I don't know. Ignore me.

    All too often, great videos are ruined by the background music.

      We've learnt our lesson and our more recent videos have somewhat less intrusive b/g music. Thanks for watching!
