  • Today we drove to Bodmin Moor to check out the Cheesewring rock formation, as well as the nearby quarry. As a bonus we also went to Restormel Castle but felt it was bit a of letdown!

Thank you! Hopefully you enjoyed the video, I still refuse to ask for likes/subs as it drives me mad when I'm watching other peoples videos lol

Pedantry: English Heritage isn't like National Trust, it's publicly owned and tends to have more castles and ancient and roman sites. If you're remotely interested in seeing such things, join, the annual membership is about the cost of seeing 3 places, you can wander in for a few minutes and it's reciprocal with Scotland and Wales.

We got our money's worth from annual Historic Scotland membership in 2 days on the Isle of Wight

Hi Trippy, you need one of those fluffy dead cat things to cover your mic, man how on earth did you guys get over on those tyres, I would have been the water on my ass with the first tyre 😁😂. I totally agree about Restormel, we have been twice now, it's a good place if you want somewhere away from the crowds to have a picnic but not at the prices they charge. You should go visit St Mawes Castle - www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/st-mawes-castle/
it is so much better and in my opinion it's better than Pendennis castle and well worth the money. Thanks for sharing, much love to you both. xx 💖

Hows it going Sue? Annoyingly the camera I use has a tiny built in mic, the camera inself fits within the palm of my hand so I would probably have to cover the whole camera to block out the wind lol and I think we got across the water through pure luck :P
Thanks for the St Mawes recommendation, it looks very cool! I'll stick that on the todo list for sure! I reckon I can find a sneaky area to get some good drone shots too :D

@@TrippingCornwall Oh gotcha, hmm that may be a problem if the mic is inbuilt. You will love St Mawes, we went there last Summer 2019 it was awesome, there are these awesome spiral stone stairs and banquet rooms and stunning views. x

Hi Tripping Cornwall, fantastic video of Bodmin. Would you happy if I was to use a small 20 second segment of this video for a short film that I making? Using a little footage of the rocks over Bodmin, I would of course credit you. I look forward to hearing from you if this would be okay. With thanks Jason

Very inconsiderate moving those tyres about . expecially if you have to walk all the way back to the path.
