I had my Samsung laptop power port replaced here and it works as new. Great job and thanks again. One thing to know - the CMOS battery is on the bottom of the main board. I replaced mine right away seeing the board was out.
Problem is that is lead free solder with silver that was used on these models, it is almost impossible to get the solder off of it regardless of the wattage, your best bet is to heat up each leg one by one and remove each leg individually, after the jack is off you and legs are out you would be able to suck out the extra solder from the pads
Had about the same luck removing my old power connector on my 305v5a, unfortunately all the heat from the solder gun seems to have gotten to one of the resisitors, you know those two black ones mounted close to the connector, now I can't find a value for them, heck they could even be caps for all I know. Any suggestions.

what wattage soldering iron are you using.
Im not having much luck melting the solder enough for the wick to soak it up

their not resistors they are diodes and they are sr310 I will be posting a video showing a complete repair for this charging problem
