As far as how he knows how to cook meth so well, that he is a chemistry teacher. Your average chemistry teacher isn't going to know how to produce top shelf drugs. This episode showed he has a nobel prize on his wall from 1985, 23 years before the show when he would've been 27 he was part of some research that won a nobel prize. So he is a very accomplished chemist and at some point in his life was doing groundbreaking work in the field.
If some random uneduceted thug can cook drugs in a dirty run down lab then a chemistry teacher with school supplies definetly can.
@@sertu1462 Well I said "top shelf" drugs. Although I don't think most could even make bad meth. You can't go googling it without being put on a watchlist. The "uneducated thugs" who cook meth don't figure it out for themselves or research it, they are taught by somebody else, an apprenticeship of sorts. No classical education is going to teach this stuff, Bryan Cranston got taught by the DEA a lot of information about how to make meth because when the show producers just tried to look it up the information isn't publicly available.
@@Fieryxjoe Fair enough in regards to the "top shelf" aspect. But I'm sure a chemistry teacher can figure out the recepy. For example, when "periodic videos" made his review of breaking bad (he's an actual chemistry professor), he casually mentioned that he looked up the recepy for methamphetamine for that video. Of course some ordinary person can't just google that type of stuff, but as an actual chemist, you can look that sort of stuff up pretty easily it seems.

Walter White is an EXTREMELY overqualified high school teacher. His research on X-Ray Crystallography (meth is a chrystalline drug. No wonder he can cook it SO. WELL. At a purity of 99.1%... maybe even a touch beyond that) contributed to the work of two men who won the Nobel Prize. He's a true genius.

I REALLY hope that you guys continue this show to the end. It is genuinely one of the best shows of all time. It has a spin-off movie (which is REALLY GOOD), and a spin-off show that ended a few days ago that's arguably EVEN better than this. And that is saying a LOT
Breaking Bad was the inspiration for Ozark. The best thing about Breaking Bad it just keeps getting better and bigger just like a snowball rolling down the mountain and they stick the ending

@@duttyow8766 very true. Breaking Bad is a 10 for me and BCS is a 9.9. I give BB the better just because In BCS one for the things that make it an amazing show is the the MANY call backs to breaking bad. Without the original content those call backs wouldn’t have the same effect thus making the show a little less impactful if you haven’t seen BB. Still perfection both of them.

Yeah, the camera work is DEF similar to The Walkind Dead in that it's handheld. But as far as the quality of the cinematograpy goes... BrBa is BEYOND TWD.

still the highest rated show in history and it ended 10 years ago. the detail vince gilligan and the team went into for this show and better call saul is unreal. i've watched breaking bad a good 6 times, better call saul about 3, and el camino (breaking bad movie following the final episode) probably over 10 times lol. vince is a true genius of the screen.

for me personally episode 6 of this season is when this show went from good to really fucking good. and season 2 just made it my favourite show ever
At 15:00 when you ask how he knows how to make meth. Remember he asked Hank when he was on that ride along if he was able to go inside the house to check out the lab so maybe he got an idea from that on how meth is created. Aside from him being a super smart chemist maybe he saw the areas where it could improve from that setup plus Jesses help which he is captain cook the one they were lookin for lol

Exactly. The difference that breaking bad has in comparison to other great series is that it never had a bad season where things get dull it was 10/10 the whole way through.

You meant Ozark is like Breaking Bad. Lol Breaking Bad set the tone for shows like Ozark. Breaking Bad was a Smash Hit when it came out and people have been trying to duplicate it ever since. Ozark is the best attempt I've seen to date, but Breaking Bad is the OG.
