On the converter dolly question with the ABS she’s wrong it’s not white this is out of the DMV handbook ...a converter dolly built on or after March 1, 1998 are required to have an anti-lock brake these dollies have a yellow lamp on the left side of the dolly
It sounds odd, but it is correct because you want to have the tire tread contact the road & the water simultaneously. This allows traction to the steering tires & it will prevent hydroplaning. This is why it is important that your tires have the proper tread depth. The deeper the tread on the tires, the more water that can be moved along the tread & expelled through the rear of the tread as the tires move forward.

Earlier she said pci instead of psi which I let slide because I knew what she meant but the color of the lamp is a key component to this question and unacceptable for a training video to make these kinds of errors. Some of your answers on this video are very wrong! It’s not a white lamp it’s a yellow lamp. It’s psi not pci. And you do NoT drive through water quickly

Make sure that you check your handbook to see if it states above 40 MPH or below 40 MPH. Question: If you have a 100 foot rig travel at 40 MPH or FASTER you have to ADD 1 extra second to the rule for a safer following distance. Example: You are driving a 100 FT rig at 50 MPH, how many seconds should your cushion be from the vehicle in front of you? Answer: 11 Seconds. Explanation: For every 10 Feet of the rig that equals to 1 second. In a 100 FT rig you have 10 Feet X 10 which equals 100 Feet. So you take 1 second 10 (the amount of 10 feet there are) = 10 seconds. Now since the rig is traveling faster than 40 MPH you would add 1 extra second to the 10 seconds which would be 11 seconds. Now if you were driving a 100 Foot rig at 30 MPH you would only need to have a following distance of 10 seconds because you are below the 40 MPH rule. Since you are traveling below 40 MPH there is no need to add 1 extra second.

Hi,I just failed my CDL permit test.They question and answer in the book was different from the one given to at dmv test.What can I do to pass combination,air break and general knowledge.
On the FedEx dollies do you have a white light on the left hand side where the pull pin is.it also has a yellow warning light there as well.another safety feature is the light underneath the Jaws so you can see the jaws have applied properly around the PIN. It's a safety feature as well but many components of a dolly must be looked over like the bolt's around the fifth wheel.many drivers in the past fail to check the lock pin on the trailer and place the chain with pins up facing you making an X.these safety chain's often gets bent sideways. Some chains are shorter than others which doesn't make any sense to where you cannot make an X with your safety chains. You can get a ticket if the yellow light is on .it's a warning something is not correct.a driver was shut down because of the yellow light until service shows up.i just get another dollie and red tag it.

Some of your answers on this video are very wrong! It’s not a white lamp it’s a yellow lamp. It’s psi not pci. And you do NoT drive through water quickly
Which answer is wrong ? Because I got the CDL book and app and they said you should have 10 second for following distance you had 11 seconds and the puddle question I thought it was drive through quickly was wrong

Make sure that you check your handbook to see if it states above 40 MPH or below 40 MPH.
Question: If you have a 100 foot rig travel at 40 MPH or FASTER you have to ADD 1 extra second to the rule for a safer following distance.
Example: You are driving a 100 FT rig at 50 MPH, how many seconds should your cushion be from the vehicle in front of you?
Answer: 11 Seconds.
Explanation: For every 10 Feet of the rig that equals to 1 second. In a 100 FT rig you have 10 Feet X 10 which equals 100 Feet. So you take 1 second 10 (the amount of 10 feet there are) = 10 seconds. Now since the rig is traveling faster than 40 MPH you would add 1 extra second to the 10 seconds which would be 11 seconds.
Now if you were driving a 100 Foot rig at 30 MPH you would only need to have a following distance of 10 seconds because you are below the 40 MPH rule. Since you are traveling below 40 MPH there is no need to add 1 extra second.

I agree there were 2 questions wrong. The light on dolly is yellow on left side not white? And another one was wrong . What should you not do when driving thru water? Do not drive thru quickly. Your answer was stepping on the break you shouldn't be doing this you will fail people taking test. I didn't watch the rest.
I just tried to get my doubles endorsements, ended up getting half the questions wrong and failed lol

Read the DMV book and there are a few good apps for your phone.
Skip questions you’re not sure of. It will cycle back if you skip too many but you may not need to
The dmv sometimes asks the question in a tricky way. One word in the sentence will be different than the book and it changes the answer

I seen a driver pulling a dollie on his tractor.he had no light plug hook up.is he legal or just plan stupid ?
On the FedEx dollies do you have a white light on the left hand side where the pull pin is.it also has a yellow warning light there as well.another safety feature is the light underneath the Jaws so you can see the jaws have applied properly around the PIN. It's a safety feature as well but many components of a dolly must be looked over like the bolt's around the fifth wheel.many drivers in the past fail to check the lock pin on the trailer and place the chain with pins up facing you making an X.these safety chain's often gets bent sideways. Some chains are shorter than others which doesn't make any sense to where you cannot make an X with your safety chains. You can get a ticket if the yellow light is on .it's a warning something is not correct.a driver was shut down because of the yellow light until service shows up.i just get another dollie and red tag it.

Theres only 20 questions on the test.. this is over board..
But there’s a pool of questions they pull from when they generate your particular test. So not every test have the same 20 questions.
