In this video we’re sharing the real estate investing strategy that has CHANGED OUR LIVES and enabled us to eliminate our housing expense while building wealth: “house hacking”. House hacking is where you generate income on the home you are living in. This can be done so many ways- buying a multifamily property like a duplex, buying a home with a mother in law apartment/guest house, or by renting out rooms in your home. This strategy is perfect for beginner real estate investors because you are able to get better terms on your loan and can put lower money down because the property is a primary residence. This strategy also helps you save more money so you can buy another property to house hack as soon as a year later and keep growing your investment portfolio.
We started house hacking in 2019 and are now living in our third house hack investment property. It’s totally possible to still use this strategy in 2024 and can help you get into real estate investing when you otherwise wouldn’t be able to due to down payment or loan qualification requirements.
