    Genius! Thank you for this tip. This looks a lot easier than using a thick piece of copper to try to clean out the files. Also, the reason a file card is called a card, is because it is essentially the same tool which is used to card wool.

      File cards work well on very coarse files, like wood working files. This works well.

    Greetings from Spain!
    This brush will evenually waste your file...I saw that brushing with a thin sheet of copper does not damage the file. It is not as fast though. A brass brush is also file friendly
