I can totally relate to Father Calloway's journey into the Catholic Church. In 1994 I discovered the Church through Medjugorje as well. I was immediately on fire! I wanted to join the Church as soon as possible and read everything I could get my hands on. I went to the Roman Catholic Priest in my town and told him that I wanted to start classes. He asked me what religion I was. I told him Lutheran. He told me that was good enough. Huh?! So I went to the Ukrainian Catholic Priest. He was wonderful. He gave me book after book which I devoured. I told my dear Mum. I have really found the truth. After about 17 yrs my second marriage fell apart. I been on my own for several yrs. I started to watch EWTN. The Catholic Channel. The Journey Home. Started me back on my reconversion. Started to read and do research on the Early Church. Last step going to my youngest goddaughter’s wedding. My little grandchild was a flower girl. They got married in this beautiful Catholic Church. Next day I was back in the church. I pray my son and daughter will return to the Catholic Church.

His mother who prayed for him finally led him to grab the book(nothings are coincidence). The moment when I realized how much Jesus loved me, I broke down in front of a few hundreds of people. I felt His sorrow deep in my heart. This happened suddenly during the mass 3 days before my baptism. We all can return to God, but staying with God is challenging in our daily lives till the end. We must read the Bible and hear good testimonies because when we open our eyes in the morning, we see this world not God.

About a year after my reconversion I went for training to be a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. A priest who I remembered from yrs ago when I first converted in 1978. He looked into the records at the diocese of Scranton. And when I came back from England there was my annulment in my mail. I feel very blessed to be back in the church.

"By there fruits you shall know them." Look at all the vocations, conversations, and healings taking place there for years. Don't believe everything you see and read. I'm not saying you should believe in them but that it is always wise and prudent to do lots of research and pray before saying these apparitions are satanic or false. For something "satanic" it sure has caused lot of people to have a conversion of heart and a devotion to Our Lady and the rosary. Plus the Pope just openly said a few months ago that people are allowed to go and visit medjugorje. Medjugorje has neither been condemned nor approved by the church as of yet. Why impede/discourage people from going if good fruit is coming from it? Any where Our Lady is I assure satan is there to try to distort and thwart God's plan but it doesn't mean the apparitions are "false" or "satanic". @anonamouse Medjugorje IS what pointed me back to the traditional Latin mass. Believe what you want to believe about it; in time the church will speak for the final authenticity of the apparitions. As for the pope I do agree he is in the wrong on many many things. I don't particularly care for him, however there is nothing that happens that God doesn't allow. We have had bad popes and anti popes throughout church history. Vatican 2 also introduced some poison into the church and has caused growing confusion since. But God will render His good out of all of this. Our church is the midst of being purified and it will once again be a strong, humble force as it was in the days of it's birth. Whether you believe in the authenticity of the apparitions or not I think we can probably both agree that our church is/ will be cleaned up and purified through the hand of Our Blessed Mother. As long as the church has not condemned mejdejorge people are still allowed to go there and there has yet to be an official ruling by the magestium on this as of yet but you certainly are not obliged to believe it and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. About a year after my reconversion I went for training to be a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. A priest who I remembered from yrs ago when I first converted in 1978. He looked into the records at the diocese of Scranton. And when I came back from England there was my annulment in my mail. I feel very blessed to be back in the church.

"By there fruits you shall know them." Look at all the vocations, conversations, and healings taking place there for years. Don't believe everything you see and read. I'm not saying you should believe in them but that it is always wise and prudent to do lots of research and pray before saying these apparitions are satanic or false. For something "satanic" it sure has caused lot of people to have a conversion of heart and a devotion to Our Lady and the rosary. Plus the Pope just openly said a few months ago that people are allowed to go and visit medjugorje. Medjugorje has neither been condemned nor approved by the church as of yet. Why impede/discourage people from going if good fruit is coming from it? Any where Our Lady is I assure satan is there to try to distort and thwart God's plan but it doesn't mean the apparitions are "false" or "satanic". Visit mej.com and do lots of research and pray, pray, pray! May God bless you.
@anonamouse Medjugorje IS what pointed me back to the traditional Latin mass. Believe what you want to believe about it; in time the church will speak for the final authenticity of the apparitions. As for the pope I do agree he is in the wrong on many many things. I don't particularly care for him, however there is nothing that happens that God doesn't allow. We have had bad popes and anti popes throughout church history. Vatican 2 also introduced some poison into the church and has caused growing confusion since. But God will render His good out of all of this. Our church is the midst of being purified and it will once again be a strong, humble force as it was in the days of it's birth. Whether you believe in the authenticity of the apparitions or not I think we can probably both agree that our church is/
will be cleaned up and purified through the hand of Our Blessed Mother. As long as the church has not condemned mejdejorge people are still allowed to go there and there has yet to be an official ruling by the magestium on this as of yet but you certainly are not obliged to believe it and you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
