Skateboarding isn’t just about tricks, but about falling and getting back up-just like our faith journey! 🙌🙏 Thank you for this beautiful reflection, Fr. Mark
🕊️🌹"Love proves itself by deeds, and how shall I prove mine? ... How lovely Fr, your video today. Gentle advice, yes I love the way of micro improvements, it really does work …, Viva Cristo Rey and may God bless you as the special day we have been waiting for is almost here 🙏🏻❤️🎄
😂I used to love making sweets like that. I gave that up for whole foods plant based baking. It took a while to adjust but baking can be a productive way to find balance in life🇺🇸👍🏻🇺🇸
Amen Fr, I find that patience is one of the virtues I’ve been guided to grow in, maintaining a sourdough starter has been aiding this both practically and spiritually!
❤️ABBA FATHER PRAYER "Abba, Father, I love You, You are my favorite! Lord Jesus, I Iove You, You are my favorite! Holy Spirit, I love You, You are my favorite! Excellent video Father. We've watched your TH-cam videos improve tremendously over the years, and your Prepping tips too. Everyone wants to be an overnight expert without putting in the time and effort. Life doesn't work that way. You have to practice, practice, practice to be great. Getting ourselves to Heaven is a marathon, not a sprint. We must practice and improve ourselves daily with the help of the Holy Spirit. What's the old saying...."Slow and steady winds the race." ❤ "We must be willing to begin again every morning, for there is no better way to reach perfection than by starting afresh." Saint Francis de Sales ✝️ Viva Cristo Rey ✝️
Thank you, Father Mark! Micro improvements-what an awesome outlook to have in everyday life no matter the activity-the ones we enjoy and even the ones we least enjoy but could certainly get better at doing. Viva Cristo Rey!
Father, I understand and have experienced this in many activities like cooking, piano, exercising etc. But when it comes to my spiritual life it’s so difficult and painful to accept the sloth and the lack of discipline! I really feel frustrated because it’s definitely not how I want to act! God's love for us is so intense and we are so reckless in returning that love! May God help us to be humble, persevering, consistent and above all seeking God first! Thank you, Father, for all your teachings! God bless you enormously!
Amen AnaClaudia! I was blessed to receive an excellent tip from a truly wise man. All of the other things you mentioned are tangible and we can easily see our progress (or lack of it). Our spiritual growth is not readily visible to us, but it is to Him! Create a prayer time/routine and trust that He is working within us - even when we think that we are not getting anywhere! God bless you. 🙏
@ Thank you for taking the time to share this piece of advice with me. It really touched my heart! It is true: “God is working within us - even when we think we are not getting anywhere!”. Thank you! God bless you! Merry Christmas!!🎄❤️

Praying without increasing your love for God is only saying words. One must excel, educate, and give all in order to come to perfection in the love for God.
Amen Father. I couldn't agree more. Patience is a virtue. In order to grow effectively, one must have patience, which I said is a virtue of itself. It's quite amazing, patience and growth feed off each other. "God" is so good.
So true dear sister in Christ Kim. I will never forget when I first started out being a caregiver for the elderly - it seemed I had everything down but the one most important thing, patience...Well, the good Lord fixed that - do you think after more than 15 years of caregiving and being married, I've learned a little patience? Just don't ask what I've gone through to gain every single drop 💧 of patience...he he LOL :) God bless you and your family. Shalom 🕊️🌹🌲🙏

AMEN Fr. Mark! I read a wonderful book about this subject (Talent is Overrated) years ago and it completely supports your comments. The author provided a number of examples from various sports; the figure-skater who performed a never done before jump - (paraphrasing) only after her backside made contact with the cold hard ice about 20,000 times! The champion golfer Lee Trevino (who was known for his cheerful disposition) shared how he would get rankled when anyone commented about a golfer "having that touch" - and how that touch was the result of hitting about a million golf balls. I have been working at incorporating that mindset into my prayer life. 🙏
