Great video. I noticed after doing a timing belt and all the gaskets that there was oil coming from underneath. Doesn't seem like it's coming from the main crankshaft seal. So I went to the oil filter housing/adapter plate and it seems like it could be leaking there or the oil pressure sensor. If this is so would you have a abundance of oil dripping from oil pan. Also it is sitting on the frame rail. Thanks for the video again take care

I got a 2006 Honda Odyssey. Great car runs great. But my car is leaking from the bolt that is in there and close to the area where the oil filter housing is at. My question is it the oil filter housing or there is something else. Because when I check the car from under I see the bolt and there is a lot of oil grease. So how can i know for sure where the car is leaking from? Thank you.

With these O-ring gaskets, you don't really need a mating surface. The O-ring goes inside both sides from what I can tell. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Honda 3.5l motors with vcm dont have the screen, the basic engine that doesn't have vcm does have a gasket with a little screen. The video is of an Odyssey with vcm, hence, plain gasket with no screen.

    • @BarboursAutoHelp

I like to use brake cleaner because it does not leave a residue. Carb cleaner leaves behind oily residue. It's best to have the mating surfaces totally clean.
