Im late to the party but thanks for this and all the advice in comments. Tried 12v and it was clipping. Thought it might be lack of power now I know.
Ive made a Bluetooth speaker set up with this amp and it rocks used a power-bank battery with a buck controller so its wireless no power cord just charge the battery .. thumbs up !!!!!

between 1:26 to 1:27 I noticed a very minor spark in pcb, near the electric dc port.
When you power thiss Excellent amp with more than 12 Volts (suggested 19 Volts) the sound gets Fuller, warmer, with less distortion, not so much more LOUDNESS, hope this helps.

O got this board and I'm using it with 4 3.7 nih batteries which gives 16.8 to 11 volts depends on charge and discharge connected to two 4 inch 6 ohm car speaker without any dc to dc converter this board will work from 8 to 24 volt on lover voltage it will be guiet but you got two switches which work like step up converters some boost up onboard to play louder on lover voltages.

I have this board but it doesn't produce any bass? Even with high quality speakers. It's loud but high pitched. Did you have the same problem?

One bad thing the loud "ta da da" sound when you switch it on and the need noise if you hit the volume button. Also there is a loud switch on and switch off "plop". Not good. So i think i add an poti to regulate the volume down when switch on or off. Or is there an other way?

I bought an 18v 2a power supply because I will use just one speaker - 4ohms, 40W RMS. I don't know if I did the correct math, but I did 18v*2a=36w, wich is the power that I need to apply to the speaker with no risk of damage. Did I do the right thing?

I love using the 18650 battery whenever possible so I guess 4S provide 16.8 volts fully charged. have you used a 3s or 4s battery configuration for some of these little amps. Also have you made a overview comparison of the various amps that you've tested over the past few years? It would be very interesting to check out your opinions after trying so many.

I have the same module and I get lots of rf interference which is very annoying when I play music at low volume. Do you have the same problem? Apparently it has to do with the bluetooth antenna being too close to the amplifier.

hello i am using this board with a 24v 5a power supply. when i turn the volume up it starts making a popping noise or breaking in the audio. i have it hooked up to a krk rokit 8. any idea what im doing wrong?
+charles hinkle pop up noise that means the amplifier is delivering it's maximum power.
one thing you can do go for 18v it'll not make any pop up

what are the specs of the speakers that you used?
I'm not sure wich speakers are the most compatible with the board...
And is it necessary to add the DCtoDCconverter? As to powersupply of the board is 8-25V?
Correct me if I am wrong, but the point of increasing voltage from 12v to 18v is to make it louder? If that is true, was 12v not loud enough? I saw another video where someone went straight from 12v and was happy with the volume. I am personally shopping for parts so any feedback you can provide in terms of why to go higher in volume is appreciated. (This is obviously, also, for Steve.)
You need a crossover filter to distribute right frequencies to right speakers.

I am about to build my own portable bluetooth speaker and might need some help.
I have got 1 speaker cabinet (with speakers) [Poineer S-p370):
- Music Power [DIN] 50W

I was going to buy the TDA7492P 50W+50W (red one) and hook my speaker up to one of the 2 channels.
I am trying to power this system with 4X Vander 18650 Akku 6000mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Battery (14,8 Volts in total).
As I am not familiar with speakers and technical stuff like you, I was interested in your and others opinion if this is a good idea... :D?

Hello. I recently bought one of this amps, but when i plug a laptop charger to it (its a 19v 4A) already connected to AC, the amp gives a lot of sparks o.O Do you know whats the problem? Also i tried to measure the amperage of the amp in use but it simply got sparks in the multimeter terminals... is something wrong there?
there is not any problem it's just because of capacitor draw lot of current for first charge it's normal

1. connect your speakers
2. connect your power supply
3. you will see first blue led will flash and then it will flash with red led wait for 10 second
4. then turn on your phone's Bluetooth
5. and search
6. it'll take some time in first paring

+AKI BASS no. It's not necessary to use a 50 watt sub and a 50 watt tweeter . You can pair it with a 10 watt tweeter .

Most people say 24V sounds the best. I have not powered with anything lower so I’m not sure how much of a difference it would make.

Steve Willson Kujur last question. If I have 4 8ohm speakers on this amp, will it damage it? From what I've read, by have 4 8ohm speakers it will be pushing 2ohms to amp? Correct me if I'm wrong.
If you use 2 8ohms on same channel, it'll be like using a 4 ohm speaker there.

tda7492p chip is give 25+25 w power, tda7492 chip is a 50+50 watt. And my advice use with 8 ohm good quality 2 separate book shelf speakers, these guys not suitable for boom box, you spend wasted time.
