I now know the mistake others commit in that corner of death where everyone crashes. I noticed by the sound of these skilled riders that they don't accelerate while leaning, they basically hold a constant throttle while leaning into the turn and then apply more throttle once upright. Very informative. LOL
@@danut05 This is some next level necromancy my dude. Props. Cagers disliking bikes is nothing new. Pretty sure it comes from envy. How much fun we're having and how easily we can get through traffic while they're stuck in it. Haven't run into a cyclist disliking bikes aside from those that dislike anyone that dares to travel any other way than them. Oh, btw. Pretty much all of the riders on Mulholland are actually sticking to the speed limit. I haven't kept up much with the scene there in the past couple of years but there used to be cops everywhere to makes sure everyone was sticking to the speed limit and everyone kept it within the lines. Unsurprisingly, it was mostly cars they pulled because they kept cutting the corners and endangering oncoming traffic.
A couple of these guys get some gnarly lean angle at least 55 degrees. I'm not going to say you can't do that on street tires but it takes a lot of confidence in your ability to ride, and your tires to do that. props
Yay! A video of guys who actually know how to ride for a change. Not that the wrecks are getting old its just that having a good ride video every now and then is refreshing.
Excellent illustration of how to properly get off the seat in a lean, contrasting the black and white suited dude who is leaning off, but bringing his upper torso back in line with the bide, vs the other riders who are properly getting their head and torso behind the mirrors.
A miraculous thing happened here: In a TH-cam comment, a person asked for information regarding a certain motorsport branch and it was replied with a polite and comprehensive answer, without references about the questioner's mother or rude words. The informer was then thanked after his answer and the global cultural luggage of the conversation was then improved. There is a hope.
Super moto bikes are dirt bikes with street tires. they were made for a certain type of racing called "Super motard". A supermotard track consists of an asphalt section and a motocross section. The riders typically would slide the rear tire around a corner while using the inside foot as a stabilizer, by sliding it on the ground. Danny "Magoo"Chandler was known for this.
LOL, 5:20-5:38 you can clearly hear them cut power in anticipation of the slight dip/surface change that throws the bikers in almost all the crash videos from this corner. These guys know this corner by heart XD
the 2 CHIPS that rode through looked stable. 2 into a corner... nice control. the R1 has some very nice lines.. he obviously knows the road and his bike really well. ...and moto guy too. I ride a KTM EXC 525 with a 21 front 19 rear NC/San Diego.. Palomar Mt. I need to get some moto wheels to get low :) Thanks for posting.
Actually, modern supermoto tracks are kart tracks, with tight turns. Because of the long suspension travel, supermotos can break all the way INTO the apex without botomming out the suspension, and then blast out of the corner with their huge torque. You put the foot forward to increase the weight on the front wheel to increase the grip (because of the suspension, weight transfers are massive in supermotos). And since you'll hardly scratch the pegs on tar, the foot seconds as a lean angle sensor.
I am a rider, but stunts like this can not only get you in trouble ,if you mess up while someones behind you.. I don't like seeing people take risks. Not a negative comment, just don't like seeing people get hurt....I see it all the time around here, people driving crazy .I grew up riding bikes..mini bikes, dirt bikes, kawasakis , yamaha, sporty, now I cruise on my wide glide. So really I was risky once too, and to many close calls..And thank God I'm still alive So really all I'm saying is be safe
I like how there's all these fancy riders, then 2 cops on BMWs just cruise by 2-up through these turns, going the same speed as these hard-core street racers.
Insane. Take that sheit out to Willow Springs. Higher speeds, competitive, no cops, and when you crash you don't run into a 20 ton rock or a metal barrier.
1) diggin the supermoto's, keep it up! that husky is hot! 2) that CBR250 looks like a friggin blast on that road. 3) you need to "accidentally" film the purdy lady a little more... in every video of yours
Guy R1 @5:10 quite possibly the first one 2 have really spot on body position. head torso all inside the bike towards the exit, brilliant. And the guy at 6:09 epic!
that red dude on the blue and white r1 really knows how to lean. the others just hang off to touch the pavement but that dude was huggin the bike tight and still rubbing on the pavement.
Chainsaw Johnny new fairings for gsxr 950.00 New stator and rectifire 559.00 loosing a race because you ride a gsxr PRICELESS. LOLOL IM JUST joking . they're very nice bikes
yeah, i found that out, the 510 is almost the same as a racing supermoto with numberplates and it's a hell of a lot faster than the 630, and much better looking.
the previous year some guy'd come there with cash the day of his high school graduation, rode it off that afternoon and was dead three hours later. The bike was like a two-wheeled Porsche, so stable yet so agile, and so NOT A TOY! Just an exquisite driving machine, like all since the CBR 900, and all wrecked by squids, it's sad. Might sound strange- I'm working on a new kind of riding suit. What you ride tells me you could offer an expert opinion on it; when done, maybe I'll ask for it here.
well, i own a gsxr 750 and i take it to the track every month, i love everything about it except the brakes.. the bike is awesome, it handles perfectly and it has a lot of power, wouldnt trade it for a 1000...
It actually is a racebike with a headlight. It's much lighter. I have a 610 from 2008 and compared to the 510 mine is quite a bucket. You should try one, 610 or 510. Both a more sportive than the 630.
Scrolling down I knew there would be lots of comments about the girl :D I'm taking out my bike right after seeing this vid, its 35°C (=95°F) here in Belgium ( at 1pm). Perfect weather for driving ;)
Everyone has their own riding style. Who are we to say what's right or wrong, especially when trying to compare the riding style required between two COMPLETELY different bikes? I personally don't put my leg out on sportbikes or supermotos, but I do on dirtbikes when the need arises.

Yep, 101 of cornering.
How could anybody dislike any of his videos? They're all in HQ, without music and perfect camera work. There is absolutely nothing to dislike here.
people in cars and on bicycles dislike this

Could watch the guy on the R1 drag elbow all day on that corner. Mad props. I also liked all the "Squids" at the end.

The guy at 5:36....wow!! What a great rider...fast and smooth. Throwin that Yamaha around....
jammie4u no shit that fuckin cat can ride dude!
dude's got slicks
That blue R1 with the race fairings and custom lights looks so sick
Loving the footage of the smaller displacement bikes at the end
Yay! A video of guys who actually know how to ride for a change. Not that the wrecks are getting old its just that having a good ride video every now and then is refreshing.
fantastic riding skills. great throttle control with lower torso and elbow position makes the winner smooth and fast.
gotta give you that 5:08
That Yamaha R1 crossplane sound is just AMAZING!
Notice how the riders who are looking ALL the way through the turn are the ones with the most lean and speed through the turn...awesome riding
How could anyone not enjoy this?

These vidoe's just make me want a crossplane crank R1 even more.

OUTSTANDING camera work. Thanks!

Great video, as always! That was my boy, johncole805, on the 250r in the end. I have a video on-board his bike on my channel.
i can watch this every day during winterperiod !

this is like one of the biggest wonders of the world:)just speachless
ugh, this was the best vid ever. Sounds like i was at the track.

how many miles long is the "snake" It seems like most of the videos are in only a few locations making it hard to tell.
Just got new tires on my Ducati and got some leathers... Now I won't be ashamed to ride up this mountain. See you in the following weeks rnickey!
tell you what, there is some serious riding talent to be seen in these videos.

GSX-R here, GSX-R there, GSX-R everywhere. love it :D

Plenty of roads like that around here in Alsace France. A little dryer climate on Mulholland tho...

C'est trop bon, ils ce sont appropriés la route..
sympa cette vidéo..
Its "Jeff Decker" and he has made some badass bikes.
The blue and white R1 is a damn good rider!
whos the guy with the modified Blue/White R1 and red suit ?
my favourite rider
Just kidding, its been awhile since I saw you on it, you've been enjoying that Duc lately ;)
That CBR250R is the canyon sleeper bike in the right hands...going downhill that is;)
CHPs on bikes were taking that corner pretty well. Imagine one of them going down though. It would be an interesting video.
Tons 'o Fun on the Desmo cracks me up. Poor shock.
well, i own a gsxr 750 and i take it to the track every month, i love everything about it except the brakes.. the bike is awesome, it handles perfectly and it has a lot of power, wouldnt trade it for a 1000...
Those Mulhollands ' corners looks like ours "patelnia" riding. Regards from Poland, Rabka Zdroj City

Scrolling down I knew there would be lots of comments about the girl :D
I'm taking out my bike right after seeing this vid, its 35°C (=95°F) here in Belgium ( at 1pm). Perfect weather for driving ;)

I can't wait to ride out here in the near future.
Why don't we see any more videos from this guy they were awsome
Because that portion of the road (Mulholland Snake) has been closed to cars and motorcycles for years now. 😢
@@demisx ah that's a shame
I love the motard guy!great riding
Adey riding his R1?!?!?!?! Man, I thought he retired that thing....
Is the guy that's dragging elbow rockin' slicks?!
Damn there's some really good riders in this video , keep it up brothers and stay safe !!!
it's a cbr, it's actually written on the side of the bike (720p)
best bikes at 4:13 and you can tell those cops have skill by their clean trajectory.
and as professionals they violate the number one rule, you DO NOT ride side by side, no matter how fkn good you think you are
That's true though. I guess they got cocky lol
