The dialogue with Johnny dogs about the crates becoming 24 instead of 25 is ok but 24 becoming 23 is tax, meaning that it's too much. So he just basically said to him that they can steal a reasonable amount because he knows how it works, but do not take too much of the cargo.
I think the scene where they destroy the pub is to show MIchael (and also remind the audience) that the Peaky Blinder aren't just a bunch of jolly guys that enjoy having a great time and rigging some races every now and then or picking fight with other gangs - they are still criminals, they are in charge because people fear and respect them and they have to show that they are to be feared and respected. When watching shows like these it's easy to get carried away and forget that we're dealing with criminals. Yeah they are beating up Sabinis man but Sabini is an asshole who deserves it. But destroying a pub because one of their family members was disrespected is also part of their everyday business. It shows Michael that he's part of that world now and it's not just fun and games all the time.
Grace's Secret can pertain to two things 1)She was an undercover cop 2)She was in love with Tommy. Tommy knew that from Campbell's perspective the second one will come to mind immediately when he sees the name. This is one of the reasons he named the horse this aside from the fact he was still hung up about Grace. Also Pudgey was right about Grace and Tommy always been communicating since the end of S1. Remember too that Tommy always has a reason when he interacts with people. Tommy getting close to May has all to do with her being of use to him in regards to the horse racing thing because she has connections with higher ups in the board
You guys are really overthinking this. The plan was for Grace and Tommy to leave everything behind and go to NY. He didn't go. There's no plan brewing behind the scenes anymore.

A thought that might interest you since you loved Shogun so much. Doesn't Tommy operate in similar fashion to how many did in Japan during the show. With a secret heart, always guarded and known by almost nobody. His mental capacity for tactics is impressive, and seems so exhausting. It reminds me of the end of season 1. He celebrates with his brothers, looks into Polly's eyes as he pours a glass of champaign.. then dips his head in sadness. Polly has a way of revealing that 'secret heart' and we see it for a moment.
There's no plan with Grace. She wanted Tommy to run away with her and he didnt want to leave his family. I still hate that if Grace knew she wasn't done with Tommy, why get married? Bring some innocent third party into the mix? Ugh...

You guys often try and seek to much behind certain things. Sometimes if you read into patterns to much (or at least it looks like that is what you are attempting) you start seeing novel things and new developments as incongruent with previous episodes therefore being poorly written (like Tommy and May). You can also be wrong :). Just let it present it self to you, you don't have to know everything before it happens thats also why this show thrives it is very unpredictable at times dont ruin your fun! Your emotional expressions and instant reactions are the fun parts!
