I love this part of the game. I like that the Tour is letting us listen in to the Caddie Player conversation but wish they would do it more. It’s a game of misses. There’s this strategy I’ve heard that some Tour Players use called the Cone of Misses. In theory after a hundred drives the average left and right misses are 35yds left and right of center of fairway, and it decreases as you go down the bag. So the goal is to move the cone so if you do miss left or right your shot stays out of the penalty or low percentage area. Thanks for the helpful insight from a fellow scratch player.
You are 100% right 90% of the people I play with only think about how far and nothing else. Great golfers think their way around a course 👍. Very cool 👌 video
@@nationalclubgolfer hahaha I don't think that's a bad thing per se. I would love to see the mind of a scratch golfer in terms of thinking through going for it/not and when you go for it, how to evaluate the best miss location/distance.
I just found you on TH-cam. I absolutely love the videos I have seen so far. Especially this one. You explain everything so well. Thank you so much for the content.
Great advice and video. I started playing that way last year and improved my handicap to an eight. I would love to get to a five by the end of this outdoor season.
Great information on course management!! I guess it depends on WHY you're a mid-high handicapper, if you just don't have the distance, if you make a lot of bad decisions, or if you do not know enough technical information about wind speed/elevation/shot shaping/club choice, maybe it's a combination of the three that destroys your game!! Golf is hard, even for the tour pro sometimes but if you learn the "technicals" it does make it easier, maybe new golfers should start there instead of at the driving range? Thank you for insight!⛳🤍
need to get a new 4 wood and a 7 wood or a 5 wood and a 9 wood am 59 years old and am a 7 handicap am open to anyones opinion and I am open to any brand are the new clevelands any good or wilson Dynapower cheers from Canada
@@redghost3170 ya i just sold my Stealth 2 HD 3 wood and 5 wood having sellers remorse lol sold my 4 hybrid too kept my driver 3 and 5 hybrid all stealth 2 HD and kept my stealth irons
Great video on the insights of the pre-shot thought process as part of course management. Focusing on "low hanging fruit" like the shot strategy rather than fifteen swing thoughts is much like working on improving the short game rather than "bombing drives" as a good approach to lowering your score. It's definitely something I've been trying to do more of to try to consistently shoot lower in the course and keep the swing thought processes on the range. ❤ 👍🏽🏌️♂️

Yes it is totally a game of misses! The cone is a great visual for this
The editing on these videos is always fantastic!
Love how you manage the course.

Well said and thank you!
Excellent advice. Thanks!
A really interesting video Hannah, definitely areas I should consider to improve my handicap. well done !!!
Thanks! Hope the tips help ☺️
A++ video. Would love to see you do this for all the par 5s on an 18 hole course.
Great suggestion! Might be a long video 😂

Great video, need more like this please. Or maybe caddy for a high handicapper, that would be an eye opener
That could be interesting! 😂
@@nationalclubgolfer I'm sure it would be 🤣. I've played for years and still don't play the course properly, especially the ball above feet thing
I volunteer to be your high handicapper. I play off around 20. I can hit some nice shots, though not two in a row... 😢

You are so welcome!
Good example 🙂
Thank you!
Great video. Would love a longer version. Maybe 9 holes to show varying length par 4s as well as par 3 and par 5 strategy 👍
Noted!!
This game's too complicated....I quit! Actually, this video is chock full of great info. Thanks for the playing lesson Hannah.
You're very welcome!
Thanks!
That wind is howling.flags nearly snapping
Oh, if only I could consistently remember to golf like this.😂
😂😂 we are all in need of this
Great video! What app do you use for your watch? I've been using 18 Birdies and it's pretty decent but always looking for better.
It’s a Shot Scope watch ☺️
From off the green if the shot is downhill I almost exclusively putt. It’s just the righ move for an amateur.
Agree!!
I think, quite a few beginner golfers will give up right after watching this video..))
And, you know what, may be it's not a bad idea for many)))
Why 🤔

I bought an entire set of Taylor Made Stealth. Their hybrids and woods are amazing. Expensive, but amazing. Just my opinion.

I haven’t tested the new Cleveland woods yet but the Dynapowers are good!
@@nationalclubgolfer thx for your response i look forward to you testing the Cleveland woods will help with my decision lol cheers
What's that !? 5 feet for a easy Par !? That's what Sheffler was thinking last Sunday on the 72nd hole !!! Lol
