honestly, biggest reason why there aren't all he disney princesses there is mainly because the animators and story line writers and such had a set amount of time to release the movie by. Meaning if they added all the disney princesses then there would have been less time for the rest of the movie. Also had to wait for designs for the pj's and drawing + animating their characters, finding actors to play their voices and such. Also they had a set budget so they couldn't use more money than they were given.
I could imagine Belle in a white tank-top with a rose on it and some yellow lounge pants with her hair in a messy bun. I think Jasmine would be wearing a cute tiger one-sie and lamp slippers!
