Enjoying the series so far. Even though it's never been my style to play premades my self, I always appreciated the care and lore they've really established in one and 2. Also I loved the little nuances or subtle details and features that really set sims apart compared to 3 and even 4. Like how the personality system kind of plays a bigger roll than some people may realize, not only can it effect a sim's particular skill gain like active sims gain body faster, they can also effect their need rates, like being really active causes their hunger to drop faster like a person's metabolism rate.
Talking about bolts and chemistry in first sims towns - it can always be different. They don't have pre-made turn-ons and offs so it's different every time. I think that's cool cause thanks to this, everytime you crate new Pleasantview, you can follow different shipping with new turn-ons and offs :D
Yes, that's true! I really like that although I will sometimes change their turn-ons and turn-offs for the basegame Sims if they get something really stupid.
Hi Bob! I like it this way because I imagine Mortimer knows he doesn't have much time left. He wants to leave his mansion to Cassandra and enjoy the rest of his life with his new hot wife. Haha!
I always play more 'traditional' I guess. Women always (or most times) move to men house. So I always leave that big house for Alex. (And I also most of times bring Bella back).
I just wanted to also mention that I play the sims 2 a lot,and I’ve only been robbed 3 times,it hardly ever happens.which is sad because I love the drama,Mortimer struck by lightning was hilarious 😂
It usually happens after you buy a lot of expensive stuff for your Sims - or at least that's when it's the greatest chance of happening. This event is also part of the Maxis story, though. If you play in the recommended order the condo always gets robbed.
Reddit lead me here! In my game I have Lillith Pleasant married to Don. Once she aged up they had great chemistry 😂. Kaylynne (the maid) is married to Daniel Pleasant too, for the 'drama' of her new step daughter hitching up with her old lover
It doesn't matter the order. You'll get the scripted events whichever the order you play the households in. Aww D: I don't see Dina as a leech or nasty at all! She's one of the nicest sims in Pleasantview (6 points) while mostly everyone else has much fewer points. Only the Brokes are that nice. She just would love to live a lavish life but doesn't like to work and is super lazy, so she takes shortcuts to get there. But I think she actually gets emotionally invested in the men she gets involved with. Dina and Nina just strike me as girls who have major daddy issues, that'd explain their behavior.
That's true about the order only if you don't do anything to prevent the scripted events from happening, like having Darren ask Cassandra to marry him before you play the Goth/Lothario wedding, etc. I agree with you about Dina now. She has made some huge changes in her life throughout my Let's Play. :)
I Always thought that Dina was actually in love with Michael , but not with Mortimer. and that she only got together with Mortimer because Michael's will was from before they got married , and said to give his money to Bella , so after Bella dissapeared , Dina decided to take revenge on her by getting together with Mortimer.
SimsterAlice I always thought about Dina as charismatic but bitchy. Like she is “cool” so people doesn’t realize she is a bitch. I was always under the impression that she convinced Don to marry Cassandra so they could steal the Goth’s Fortune.
Hi, it's been a while! :D Oh gosh, Mortimer 5:26 I guess he needs glasses if he needs to lean so far in to see the goods. 10:28 Oh, I definitely agree with the no 20K handout. I don't like that at all! 15:57 OH GOOD LORD! And on his wedding night as well! 28:06 I love your ideas - the unemployment office is such a good idea. 39:06 "She'll get you later, Benjamin!"
I miss ts2 and I’m so happy I found these let’s play, thank you for making them and you’re doing an amazing job. Now I have something to binge watch ❤️😂
In my game, Nina went on a date with Benjamin and both fell in love and had the want to get engaged to each other. They got engaged, and now one of her fears is of getting married
I played it a little different in my game. Once Cassandra and Don moved out after the wedding, Mortimer realized how lonely he was with just him and Alexander in the house. Which caused him to propose to Dina and the two of them got hitched right away since Dina's been waiting forever for him to pop the question. Dina rolled a want to Have a Baby when I played the Calientes and I figured she was trying to force Mortimer's hand on the subject since he was dragging his feet, plus I just like them marrying at the Goths so that she gets the full fortune... minus Cassandra and Don's cut of course, that No 20k Handout Mod is awesome like that. But no matter how hard she tried (aka, my raising of the risky woohoo odds) she didn't get pregnant while at her place, and thus no engagement (Mortimer did accidentally knock up Nina Caliente during a one-night stand between them, but no one knows he's the father as Nina has been living her best single girl life out there - I swear, I only took my eye off them for a second and ACR did the rest). One of the first things Dina did upon moving into the Goth mansion was start rolling wants to purchase items, which I took to mean she wanted to redecorate the place in "her" style. She didn't do every room, because Alexander still gets control over his own and there are certain things that would not go over well with the Goths if she got rid of. Cassandra is not going to be happy when she comes to visit and sees what Dina's done with her ancestral home, but oh well. Dina's living it up and Mortimer hasn't complained yet.
New to the channel! Loving the series so far, like how you follow the stories of the pre-made families. Also what default eyes do you use for your sims? They are gorgeous 😍❤️😊
Thank you! I use Bruno's Behind these Eyes Maxified. You can find them on MTS here: modthesims.info/d/544683 You can also find all my defaults and mods on my blog here: pleasantsims.com/sims-2-mods/ Thank you so much for watching! 💙
The reason Dina remembers her engagement as negative - She's hot and could have hot men like Don Lothario, but she has to marry an old man because she wants money. Anyone notice after her kiss with Mortimer she wipes her mouth? Doesn't seem like she loves him physically, but will "love" him physically, but also finds it gross
I watched this to decide what to do with my Dina and Nina, and I like your playstyle! I think Nina will marry Malcolm Landgraab, and Dina can marry a special Sims 2 Bob Pancakes 😂
i totally say i just discovered your video! i really love watching this because i always play sim2 and i feel bored i think watching you is really funn!
In my play throughs, Dina is one of the main villains of Pleasantview, but Nina has a redemption arc and eventually becomes quite successful as a single mom
I think you're talking about the No20khandout mod? If so, it doesn't matter how much money a family has. When someone moves out, they take a percentage of the household funds - even if it's just $3. Lol
@@BoBPlayGamesTV It depends on how many Sims are in the household. If there are five Sims and one moves out, they take 1/5 of the household funds. If there are two Sims, they'll only take 1/2, etc.
I was trying to play through the scripted events and while I was with the Brokes Dustin started a fire.... and burned to death..... THERE GOES MY STORYLINE...... EDIT: Brandi couldn't put the fire out and died as well..... I'm adopting some kids, that's for sure. The social worker just got there, and Beau is still inside....
Talking bout being more realistic by not giving the 20k handout but only giving the moving sim only 10% is not either. because Mortimer only got 10% of the family fortune when he probably earned most of that money and now Don and Casandra has 500k that they didn't earn. I'm just saying. I would atleast make it an even split and take half of the house hold funds.
In my gameplay Don gets Casandra pregnant, but she find him with Nina, Dina marry Mortimer, Cassandra marry Darren. Nina marry Don. Brooke need new a man! 3 child alone is too much for her alone!
I have the Ultimate Collection, but that is no longer available. If you want weather, you need the Seasons Expansion pack sims.fandom.com/wiki/The_Sims_2:_Seasons It's a stand-alone expansion pack just like any other. Hope that helps!
It's hideous! Luckily, I replaced most of that super-ugly basegame stuff in later episodes. He never looks "stylish," but he definitely looks better. :)
I think I'm understanding your question, but if not let me know. Without Cyjon's mod, the apartment residents are also townies but a different kind. They're known as "Social Group Townies." They were introduced with Apartment Life. From the Sims Wiki: They are the townies who will occupy vacant apartments and become the roommates. There are 5 kinds of Social group townies, they are Socialite, Tech, Jock, Bohemian, and Gearhead. Socialites and Techies will occupy expensive apartments while Bohemians and Gearheads occupy the worst. In contrast, they determine how "rich" they are and their surroundings. I prefer the game to use townies from the neighborhood instead of these Social Group townies. Hope that makes sense!
@@PleasantSims Wow! I didn't know about any of that at all. That's actually really interesting to know and I might even try to take advantage of that somehow. Thanks for explaining though!
Hey Cindy! When Nina is checking out the apartments, she has two options to rent each one - the weekly rent is the same, but the deposit amounts differ. What is that?
I'm glad there's not! I like to control everything and I don't want my Sims to do anything major when I'm not playing them. It might be okay for townies, kind of like in TS4, I guess. But I really like TS2 just how it is. :)
