As an Edison player, this low power level is way more fun to watch than the early and middle LCS episodes
really feel like konami should make an alternative format not with a slower game, but cards that have simple effects and archetypes are secondary to card design. I want a format where i can play breaker

As the rank 10 player, it physically hurt me to see Malevolent Sin in the thumbnail (it was banned long before this LCS happened)
also, to the watchers: you might think that I was one of few "based" players for not playing a trap card pile like so many others were doing. I assure you, Spider OTK was even _more_ toxic, and it wasn't because the spiders were poisonous.
(fun fact: ravenous tarantula was the ONLY two material rank 10 monster legal in this lcs)

that reboot survived this long just shows what awful card design it truly is. modern yugioh is so fast that traps suck but once traps get good all reboot does is give the opponent the best card to break the board. all it ever does is create ass games when beating down decks that are already in disadvantage in modern yugioh or lose the activator the game in "old"
Unfortunately, that was just the ban lists not being curated too carefully early on. Red reboot actually topped a couple times but was never banned. I myself topped with it in my gaia otk deck way back in LCS 12, and it was deemed to not be a staple or important enough to the deck to get hit
I love how this series overwhelmingly confirms that the way to fix the game and make it interesting again is to have a large and cultivated banlist.

Suggestion for next season:
instead of banning an archetype outright, maybe limit it to like 1-2 "banned archetype" cards per deck?
that way people can still use like sprind + merrli in other fusion decks, and we might see some really cursed "engine splashes"
Waiting THIS long to hit Red Reboot just shows how bad it actually is.
Either Traps are too important and it messes you up as much as your opponent, or you're trading unfavorably with Infinite Impermanence and trading half your LP to turn 1 now into 2 later.
Actually Red Reboot has been winning games since at least LCS 12 or so, they just didn't feel like hitting it at the time so it kept cropping up in OTK decks every other week. Since it was only a random non-engine card it was easy for the mods to overlook, which led to the Spider deck this LCS being almost uninteractible unless you played Counter Traps yourself since all the faders were banned lol

Hey Farfa, love the tournaments, I also do tournaments but more based on anime and manga characters, only mine are cpu vs cpu tournaments, so sometimes the a.i. will go ham and combo like crazy, other times they will summon a 0 atk monster and just walk into a facedown.

You should wrap the series earlier in order to avoid the exhausting episodes were nothing too interesting happens. But the series itself is a good one. Bring it up again with some compacted adjustments.

Max c and ash fix. “Add the effect” “you cannot activate other cards from your hand the turn you activate this effect” literally fixes the problem.
