This! I don't know if it was the acting but this is one of many parts that disappointed me in the movie. The intensity just didn't hit the same as it did in the book.
This scene and its message is so much more powerful after seeing the boundaries he had originally set for her where his chest, his heart were off limits till now.
Authentic relationships require face to face conversations where the man is brave enough to admit and fix things rather than just give signs... authenticity is tough but real❤
This movie is not only nice because it's romantic and has a great direction and actors, this movie is also nice because it discusses a psychological issue (cristian's hate for women) and social issue( his mother's addict for drugs). It's amazing, i love this movie.
Some of the comments are too funny. I can tell who read the books and who just watched the movies. 😂😂. The books shows you everything unlike the movies. Him giving himself to her was on of the best passages in the books.
I didn’t read the book but I loved the way the showed that how because of Ana and for Ana he changed childhood trauma don’t go away a in one two days it take time and they showed that in these movies maybe people are used to watching movies in which they just show guys changing all of a sudden and became good person I love the transition of this character
01:04 Don't leave me. The time when he surrenders himself on front of the love of his life, truly shows how much the fearless Christian is fearful to lose Ana.💖🥺🙌💯
I wish they hadn't removed the Dr. Quin parts from movie. Those parts were needed. Those scenes makes it clear that Christian is aware that he needs help and that he is actively seeking it. While Ana's presence may help, he isn't saved by the "magic" of her love alone.
@@fatinameerarozali6242 Yep, the Quin character even questions the odd way Ana looks at herself in relation to Christian. He questions her low self esteem and in doing so brings up a good point. In the books, Ana's character never really seems to see herself as a pretty or beautiful woman. Yet, there must be something attractive about her otherwise she wouldn't have all these guys tripping and falling all over themselves to be with her Christian, Paul (a guy she new from the hardware store she worked at), Jose, Jack Hyde, random stranger at a night club. All these men trying to get with you and you still don't think you're attractive??? Yeah, something was wrong there and it needed to be addressed.
Without having read the book, I did find this scene to be very meaningful...a vital turning point for everything that followed. I agree with the emotional act of placing her hand on his body, inside the boundry line...a profound act demonstrating a major positive change.
What's important here is Christian's re-connection to himSELF being manifested and for it being recognised as his will to shift his emotional reality! Pure love ❤️ has the capacity to heal💖. That strength from Ana without bending and fiercely standing in her strength allows for him to heal💗🤍❤. Read 1st, then saw the film. By doing that, it contextualised the meaning of these imbalances of masculine/feminine energies that exist in all of us.......and the consequences/aftermath of them when they are not aligned!! It's a battle of realities of who chooses to embrace these realities of being fictional or true....it's all about the "energetics"✨️
Omg , I saw this scene in my early twenties and was in awe and now years after I'm shocked about my own personality 😮😮😮. How naive I was thinking this was romantic. Thank God I'm still single and recognize this scene is messed up 😢😢😢😢
I kind of agree. I’m 39 and have been single since I was a teenager. I’m an introvert and picky and there’s something about this scene that just doesn’t seem right even with no dating or marriage experience.
You are right. In the book the idea of her leaving made his mind completely break down, it's like he was in a trance, completely surrendering to her and everything in him just shattering, it was such a powerful moment in the book.
Consistently in the book Ana takes the power just as much as he does, he Infact hands her the power. The power to hurt him, to break him because he allows himself to love her and give himself over to her in a way he's never done with anyone before. She ends up being more powerful than him.
He just likes passion and he knows passion cannot be always. He creates situations that will lead to passion and Ana is willing to give him this. She gives in to it every time and it totally and completely makes Cristian crazy. All he needs is Ana 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
That’s not at all what it was about. He was so scared she would leave and he was falling into the darkness that haunted him. That was his comfort spot .
Jamie Dornan is the best Christian Grey ever. There can be no one else as good as Jamie, and the same goes for Dakota Johnson as Ava Steele. They are both really good. ❤❤❤❤
when he said ''she is in the psych ward getting the help that she needs'' i honestly expected Ana to say'' maybe you should go to there to get the treatment you need'' 🤨 < ||> _|\_
Adorei este filme top Mais o Cristhian Gley e um homem louco psicopata masoquista faz tudo que ele quer e a Ana aceita tudo satisfaz todos os desejos dele por amor ela não impõe nada isto não é legal

Dakota is really a very good actress. She could express the feeling of the characters so well through her eyes and face expression.
I don't think so. She makes faces. But there's little intention. Her hair, which mustn't move, and her lipstick must have constrained her.
I just love how his Irish accent peeks through a little! ❤
The sound of the rain and the fire place oh dear. So good

Yes! I remember reading this part and actually tearing up when it was happening. The movie made it so underwhelming.
Yes I agree, this part was sooo sooo sad. It really hit me hard‼️
This scene is so intense.. So pure.. Love it everytime I see it❤️
This scene in the book is way more intense.
I ADORE the moment when he puts her hand on his heart it’s just so sweet!! ❤
it was more about allowing her to touch his chest which prior had been a hard limit
Don't know why when he kneels make me cry , that scene is so intense ...love it .
It does me too. Every time.
Yes really 😭
Unexplained scars explain everything. Rip mom
He kneels like he makes her in the play room. He is being submissive to her.

This is my favourite scene. Finally Christian shows some vulnerability.
