@@doryenballe lol I'm a quins and England fan, smithy is one of my all time favourite players. He's so electric to watch. I just think it's funny how frequently he goose steps. It's nearly every time he touches the ball

Was surprised to see him bounce a few people recently - clearly as it was the world cup I can't show a clip, as World Rugby don't want any to see or talk about the games at all (dicks)
@@wsurfa they're hurting themselves too, doing things like limiting Squidge to still shots only makes the game less accessible and brings in less interest and money for world rugby

Israel Dagg for me, is the best proponent of the goose step for effectiveness. He regularly used it while not trying to be flashy

If you've got good acceleration you can stop a defender and then beat them with your acceleration. Usually I do it to be smug and get hammered.
Surely as a front row you've perfected the goose step and used it in every game. Are you just pretending to be humble so those that play other positions don't feel too jealous?

@@AndrewDavidForde I can't remember exactly (he did it against Italy at the World Cup), but with UBB, he does it quite often when he has a ball to play on the halfway line! He does it and as he accelerates a lot on the first touch, it often allows him to break through. It's a shame he didn't take more risks at this World Cup.

honestly most of these are feeble attempts at genuine goose step more akin to show boating...Even the example of Campese was a shadow of what he did to bring this technique into fame. In fact most of these are not goose steps but swerves, side steps, changes of pace and skips. Kolbe and Dagg although brilliant elusive runners were not truly using the goose step technique. Campese stands alone as the best practitioner. I doubt the creators of this clip even know what the hell is a goose step.
