Exactly, on youtube the sound quality ofcourse is different than in real life, but they are in the same conditions. For my taste, when i listen to the speakers directly, Focal sounds better. In my opinion Focal speakers are one of the best in their price range.
You have got very good speakers. The focal seems to lean out a litte. The sound seems closer to listeners. My preference goes to the Infinity for their details but sweeter sound. Also their sound stages in 3D behind the speakers make us forget the speakers. This is magical. Thank you again for sharring this video.
The infinity's are certanly good speakers, but like the clearness and detail in the Focal's. I bought myself a pair of Dali Mentor 5, and the Focals have a very simmilar character, and may be even better. But you need to listen those speakers live and not in a YT video to really notice the character and differences
I think, actually, you cannot find a speaker which will not make Infinity sound really warm (even a bit muddy, slow but in a pleasant way) when being compared. It may perfectly fit some sources, genres or even the mood of listener :) I find it perfect for listening old cassette recordings. And Canton for 24bit digital music :).

Focal is fast... I have focals, Superior imaging not so warm bright at first very fast for theater and games they are awesome, after they break in they're not so bright and sound organic yet Sonic, you start looking to see someone's talking in the room or tapping on the door, but no it's your speaker... for music I think set up and the room Dynamics become sensitive. different settings for music on your receiver need to be figured.
I would go with the focal. Voices are clearer, cleaner, crisper. Definitely more detail. The Infinity had more base but not by much. Its base sounded bloated not tight as with the Focal.
Maybe Canton Vento vs Infinity Reference a better matchup. I prefer the focals, it brings out details and layers in music. If it's too bright for you, go with the warmer speakers.

I have a yamaha amp, so i would take the infinity, my amp is balanced and i think the extra midrange and brightness of the very good focal would be to bright for me, my yamaha would sound great with the infinity, but both very good speakers, all depends on the amp that you are using.
I had focal 836w, magna quantum 807. For me, focal are not speakers to listen for longtime, too clinical , that is the reason many people say that it is more transparent and the impressionist has more details but after 10 minutes my ears cpult not stand. And if you use an amplifier class d as pioneer it is even more clinical and transparent. Magnat was better , less clinical and detailed. However, I replaced them a d now tannoy revolution xt8f and 6. More homogenous, a real big scene and natural.

I wonder how those focal sound with rock? I have a feeling they might get brighter than I'd want but with this music they sound good. Tonally accurate maybe slightly forward and bright but never do the drivers sound detached from one another.
61i sounds a bit"honky" somwhere in midrange, lacks a bit high clarity. Focals have better clarity but sound harsh on few passes, i would like if music had few bass drum kicks or some floor toms to hear some bass.
Feels like The infinity dont want to let The sound free so easy... Same time are they better in The 3d and more true to The instruments... At first you fal for focal... But later i belive infinity is The winner.. Maybe other cables could relief The sound easier from The infinitys.. In the end is it allways The right combo that is The winner.. 🙏🧙♂️

From my experience, it's not the Focal that are bright, it's the competition that is warm, as a lot of customer are looking for that sound. For monitoring you don't want a speaker that hide the defects and the Focal certainly don't.

Focal is the winner
I own the Focal 826w's. Paired with high-end Cyrus they are immense. Strings and vocals are marvellous.

i like the voice on the infinity system more. The focal is for me a bit to clean :)

They're in bigger cabinets hence the bloated soundstage
To me the focals sound as though you are sat at the front, the infinity at the back of the audience, both good though.

Are the focal a good reference monitoring type of speaker? They sound pretty realistic to me. They might be a little bright, though.
From my experience, it's not the Focal that are bright, it's the competition that is warm, as a lot of customer are looking for that sound. For monitoring you don't want a speaker that hide the defects and the Focal certainly don't.
