  • This massive chunk of an olive tree has fallen in a storm, naturally I needed to try and save it. Also I build a large wooden container for it, and repot it. We'll see in the following months if I have managed to save it. The chances are slim, because there weren't many roots, but I had to try.
Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching.

nice trunk and good job rescuing it, i have faith it will resprout as olives are extremely tough trees and I've seen people take theirs back to the same degree.

Thank you so much, I'm so happy to hear you saying that about olives and my tree here. I have been a bit nervous, about the trees survival. 😊

    How’s it coming along Christen?
If it makes it through, that’s fantastic, if not, you tried your best to give it a chance

You are making a big mistake, you have to paint the top where you cut the trunk with a special paint so that the trunk does not dry from top to bottom, it can also happen that worms and ants make holes
and because in my country Greece there are a lot of oil trees, we know something about it, it can also happen [but it's not 100% sure] if you cut off too much and the trunk becomes wild, it can happen that it doesn't produce any olives, ok Wait and see, but paint the trunk with paint or a special wax

I think you are spot on with the paint.. But it was my first time and I learned a lot from it and comments like this. I don't have any paint at the moment, will have to buy that. Might be to late. But I'll know this information for the next one.

OK, and in the end it's a try, if it goes well you can be happy, if not it doesn't matter
      Many greetings from Greece
