The song originally and randomly composed by female sea gypsies of Southernmost of Philippines (locals call them Badjao ) they randomly composed a song and sing while paddling or sailing using their small wooden boat (bangka) to ease the boresome or tiredness and loneliness while on long journey..it took decades before someone recorded it on cassette tape recorder and remixed with piano synthesizer when it became popular in local areas of Sulu and Tawi-Tawi and later on in Malaysia where someone included it in selections of 80s pop punky music in one cassette tape and reproduced and it became popular in Filipino communities in Malaysia then back to Sulu where it mostly played by vendors in market areas and later on spreading through out the Philippines and including fm radio stations ..but until now no one knows the girl's name who sung it..
