Do you know if the optional listing fees are a monthly fee added to my store fee or are they only paid when the item sells?

May I ask you a question? Before I subscribed to Basic Store Plan. But changed to starter store. As far as I know , I was given 100 free insertion listings. I noticed that there is "product will be renewed in ** days" sentence on each listing. And it uses up my free listings. Is this only applying on starter store or also applying on basic store plan?

Why can’t ebay put all these fees on one page for us?? Example:item #, buyer, sold for amt, all fees, tax, shipping paid by buyer, actual shipping cost…it’s a pain in the ass looking for all these!

I don’t understand why they even count in the tax in my final earnings, then if a person pays 4 dollars for the shipping, oh doesn’t matter because they tax that shipping too. So you may have to use what’s left and some of your money from the item.

Idk if anyone will reply to this but here it goes:
I'm new at brand new at eBay with just 4 months. I trade basketball cards. I made myself a excel doc to try to keep track of monthly profit/loss, I seem to be confused on how the whole paying ebay and what ebay charges me deal.
The following are some questions/showing how I do stuff so anyone can correct me if there is a better way or I'm just wrong!
    1. The formula to find out whether I should buy something and then sell it at X price I've done is the following:
Price of the item that sold + shipping cost (Client pays) + Client tax (if any) = Client total Paid
Client total Paid - (Paypal Fee - Ebay Tax) +/- The difference between shipping cost (of what the client paid and what I actually paid myself for the label) = "Total of Formula"
"Total of Formula" - Price bought = PROFIT/LOSS
Here is my PROBLEM! At the end of every month eBay charges you 10% (I believe that's the %) of the "Client total paid" which one has to basically substract from the "PROFIT/LOSS" to see how much really one made from that specific transaction or transactions if you look it monthly.
    * When I go to Account Activity/ Account Summary I can see current balance, total fees and payments, etc. If I add my fees from the tabs below on grey color, I don't come up with the same amount of fees I see if I go to invoices.
What am I doing wrong? What should I look at?
    2. I saw the PayPal too, when someone purchases an item I go to my PayPal to confirm the charges of that specific transaction, all the fees and taxes paid/taken out. Is there anything else I should look? I saw in the video Simply_rs seems to pay for the shipping so as I mostly don't and just pay the difference (which I already have technically working on my excel formula) I wouldnt have to look for anything else, correct?
Hope anyone can help me understand! Thanks!

Hey! Thanks for your input. We indeed included in this video when it is appropriate to upgrade to a seller store and which seller store makes the most sense for your sales level. However, we made sure that we explained the eBay Listing Fees and insertion fees in this video as well.
