Reminds me of the band Rush (Conan is a fan of them btw). Not really truly widespread recognized until around 2010...30+ years after they started. Sure Rush had popular periods (early 80s and early 90s), and were always held in high esteem by some (other musicians and dedicated fan base), but it wasn't until after "I Love You Man" came out that they became more of a household name.
These remotes shows what a great duo these two are and what a great comedian Conan is! This video is 22 years old and it's funnier than more of today's late shows stuff.
I still remember Andy saying "Somebody smashed Piggy's glasses, too" at 8:28 and feeling horribly impressed that he just casually dropped a Lord of the Flies reference on late night TV. Fan for life after that.
I caught that and realized I'm pretty sure 1997 was the year I read Lord of the Flies for school. Was very likely reading it the same day this aired. No significance to anyone else, but it's a trip for me to think about.
They probably paid him something, or not and just be a bad day in work which always happens. He can move on, to another neighborhood hahaha. Loved Conan's laughs.

Nothing beats a 1960's Good Humor truck and the driver letting you ring the bells. No music. The pitch on the bells were a lot richer and a lot louder.
There is no other late night host I can watch for hours on TH-cam. I get in Conan streaks so often it's obvious he has the body of work that will stand the test of time.
I remember the episode where the circus was in town and they got a shot of all the elephants relieving themselves. Ugh. The music they played in the background was very fitting.
In the first 3 or 4 years of Conan's show, the audience always fail to realize that Andy is saying things that are hilarious. It's like they either just turn off when he was talking instead of Conan, or they don't realize he's also a comedian...?
I read an article about ice cream trucks once, cops randomly search ice cream trucks because a lot of them dp sell drugs. And sometimes people have sex in them.
